Lets talk civilian frames for a moment. The newest frames added since Legends are referred to as Federation frames. The lowest end Alliance frame is the Talon, while the lowest end Federation frame is the Arrow.
Now, when looking at comparable ships from both shipsets. (excluding military.) I find a pattern. While the Arrow and Talon are different ships, both have similair abilities. The Arrow seems to have a bit more armor, building capacity and speed. In fact, this goes for the entire Federation lineup. Each ship is better then the Alliance counterpart in every way. So why are they the same price?
I would really like to see the Federation frames cost more, or something be done, as it stands, I don't see any reason to choose an Alliance frame over a Federation frame.
Story and reasoning be darned! I am talking for pure gameplay balance.

In general the Federation ships are slower and have less armour, while being more agile and having more capacity.

Whaaaaaaaaaat? Suranis can you check the shipyard again? I am certain the Fed ships have MORE armor. By 5-10 points actually.
You might be on to something with the speed however.
@ Marvin;
Still, I'm talking gameplay wise. Who would choose an Alliance frame for anything other then looks? Why fly a Leviathan over a Starmaster? (Might be a bad example, Ive never flown a Starmaster.)

Yes, you are correct. The Federation frames indeed have more armour.
