My noob questions

How do you change ships/builds if you are only allowed 1 ship?

Sorry for the dumb question, probaly many more to come, so I
will just keep adding here instead of makeing a new thread all
the time.
But the only way I know to learn something is to ask a question
dumb or not.

You can store a ship in a shipyard and build another. You can only have one in use at a time. Save before you do anything incase you change your mind.

It' s me again lol.
I was guided to a big object in a nebula/astoride field by my science officer and I was wondering now what do I do?
The object looks like a big lump of a ship engine, its bigger than me. I flew around it looking to see if
I could dock with it or enter it, did'ent see anything.the report from the S.O. said that valuable minerals can be found
near co-ords. Well this lump of metal (not cargo boxes) is there. Any hints?

Tried the tractor/mine, got nothing maybe I'm just missing it if something is inside.
Or maybe I'm not mining long enough, my fuel thank gets full though lol.

That's an energy pod receiver, something you can take energy pods to (from a generator). It was originally designed to be part of a 'capture the flag' type game scenario. Look to the north of that location, beyond the nearby asteroid field.

That look like a shipwreck inside a gas giant. When you use the tracter beam inside it and have fuel converter equip then you will get fuel. The second part is the shipwreck. Look for a purple bilp on your radar. It will lead you to the shipwreck. Fly inside of it. There a container inside it that you can colect with the tractor beam.

Your S.O said " container detected heading ### pitch -/+###"

That is when he detect a container in the sector
