There is a new questline that'll lead you to one of the hidden planets, provided you're something of a combat god.
There are no clues as far as the riftspace gate itself is concerned in the game, but the gate is still where it used to be. The rewards from the Legends quest, however, are gone, even though the final location itself is still there.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

The quest is profitable ... early on and onward thereafter.-
