I am using the demo of Mercenary and cannot get this to work well with any of my joysticks. I have tried my X52 and an old Logitech WM Strike Force 3D. Both are WAY too sensitive to use in the game. I have tried adjusting the joystick sensitivity settings in the game but that seems to effect at all. Low or high, the aiming reticle swings wildly around the target with the slightest movement and it is impossible to hit any targets!
Is there a way to adjust the linearity? Mouse and keyboard work fine but I would like to use my x52 and I don't believe there is a way to adjust the axis linearity in the Saitek control software.
Anyone else having this issue?
Seems like a really interesting game other than this problem.

No. Many players use the X52. I know for a fact that the sensitivity program in the game works. If it's not working for you, I would consider the possibility that you are not setting it up right.
Did you select joystick at the start of the game ? Did you use the in-game program to set the axis'?
Once in game enter the exit menu and adj sensitivity. if there is no response of any kind at any setting, maybe the controller is bad.
I would be out of ideas by then.
Good Luck, I hope you get it resolved.

I use an X52 and I have no issues. and the issues I had in Legends like sometimes drifting I have not experienced in EM yet. Also are you using a previous Legend Profile with EM..? If so you need to check your Key bindings in your profile because some Default Key's on Keyboard have changed and can mess up your X52 response to Key bindings. Print out the Keymap and compare it to your X52 Profile Key Bindings...

Joystick sensitivity not working?
First of all, thank you for your replies.
I think that I have it set up right. I have the game set to joystick (rather than mouse or keyboard. I have run the in-game joystick set up routine to set the axis assignments. Everything moves as it should in the game except that I can't keep a bead on anything. As I yank the X52 one way or the other in order to try to train the aiming reticle on a target, I just over compensate and have to swing back the other way. A tiny movement seems to cause a great change in orientation. Setting the joystick sensitivity in the game to low does not make any difference I am aware of.
I do a lot better with the mouse but would much rather use the X52. It is a little frustrating because I am using up the time I have for the demo just getting it to run right.
Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the X52 using the Saitek control panel?
I suppose there is the possibility that I just suck but I seem to be able to use the X52 in other games with much more success.
I will keep trying as this seems to be a pretty neat game. I have never played the Evochron series before.

Did you try using a X52 Profile?...and Also have you set the Sensitivity in the profile editor for mouse which might be interfering with the snesitivity for the stick......

I use profiles for all the games....

I use a profile but I don't think there is a way to set a sensitivity setting in the Saitek software.
What I think I need is some kind of axis shaping menu.
