EL - I made a Sim Dasboard - control by tablet

I am using this to control Evochron rather than Roccat's Power Grid.

You press buttons on your Android tablet and it is the same as pressing keyboard keys on your pc.

Response time is far better and it doesn't disconnect or crash (so far).

https://www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/

It is for Car Racing sims but if you download the app from google play and purchase ONLY the "Button Box" option for a few dollars then you can download button box templates from the community. The only other thing to do is to download the PC app.

I have just made one for Evochron Legacy and submitted it to the community and am waiting for it to be reviewed before being available.

Here are the screens. I use a Hotas (Warthog and rudder pedals) for many controls but i added them in case some people want them.

Note you will need to remap some keys eg all the shield ones...maybe throttle? 90% should be ok already out of the box.

Any questions please ask :D

Thanks Vice.

I will add the galaxy map without any controls on a fourth screen.

You get to each screen by a single press in a blank space so I will reconfigure the first screen to have that space, maybe put a white square to press.

That's cool how they have a QR code for it and easy installation. Was it the battery that went out on the tablet? I haven't had a tablet go out like that, but had a power supply or two fail in a similar fashion over the decades.

What kind of tablet is that again? My son had to replace his after his previous model could've blown up in my face while attached to VR.

The problem instead was the usb stick. I bought a cheap chinese usb stick with a regular usb at one end and a micro usb on the other.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Bernal- ... 18011.html

The micro usb connector on the usb stick moved to the side when connected (by a large amount) and shorted the usb charging/connecting circuit.

I had used around 10 different usb sticks and cables all without issue with the tablet previously and had the tablet for 2 years.

I had not used the micro usb connecting bit almost at all but confirmed after with other devices off the ability to move it while connected.

Getting a nicer model with a bigger screen now ;)

I am lucky the tablet is great :)

In the meantime here are the 3 sim dashboards that got approved.

Note 2 and 3 originals were lost as you only upload each page so when my tablet died they were gone.

My old 1 and new 2 and 3 assume you use a Hotas/Hosas for movement, throttle(afterburner), strafing, targeting and shields.

Note the send orders buttons are mapped to numbers 1 to 6 currently but of course you can very easily edit to your own liking.

Note you need to make a SINGLE BUTTON BOX - then put in 3 BLANK PAGES - then for each page choose 1 of the 3 pages. That way a single press will take you to the next page

For reference as to what controls are missing I am additionally using an arcade stick with these controls:

Very cool. Looks like an efficient and comprehensive layout. What does the 'Dock' button do on the second arrangement?

Lets say you pressed Navigation so you undocked then you need to Dock again cause you forgot something or you are in a carrier and you need to Dock ;)

It's also used for un-Docking ;)

I just submitted all 3 again to have fake tabs at the top.

The map will be getting a new link - just search on evochron in the android app to get the new one.

EDIT - I have updated preview jpegs and links above completely.
