Hola!

I've seen this in the screenshots section and was wondering if anyone know tell me how many shipwrecks are there in the game? And where are they? (Via PM or U2U please: P)

Yes! I look for the Lexington

Vice has placed shipwrecks, crates, and other items of note throughout the known Evochron Quadrant. There's even a grunch scattered about the unknown systems within and without the Quad. Finding them IS the challenge. What with the virtually "new universe" we're flying with the Expansion, "things" have been moved about just a bit. Where they once were, they may not now be found. Exploration being the key: check planets with rings, asteroid caves/fields, and the frumious nebulae, just to name a few of the usual suspects. Watch your center radar screen for the purple blippage. The "target" may display when in range. Depends on how Vice "hid" it, cloaked or otherwise....

There's even a wreck inside an asteroid cave - the crew obviously managed to jump in but couldn't get out a again!

I don't know much about programming, but wouldn't he just have to make the planet, ring, and shipwreck integrated into one model then set the whole thing to spin? Or perhaps just the ring and shipwreck for the one pictured above?

The wreck mesh is probably attached or linked to the planet mesh, the same way as planet cities are.

True , but you gotta admit doing anything is probably a lot more steps then taping the wreck to the planet, you gotta admire that.
