I will add to this that Remula One, the man, is an excellent source for any and all information pertaining to Evochron and/or game controllers, and is more than willing to help. And for you lurkers that are a bit shy about multiplayer, let me just say that we are a small but very welcoming group, and that MP has many advantages over SP alone. Hope to see you all out there. You know... in space.

Everything you do in MP and SP will be save as long as you save it. You can switch from SP to MP then back to SP at any giving time and everything you earn will go with you. Player build and REP are defferent station build in SP will not show up on MP and the same go for station build in MP. Sector REP in SP will remain in SP.

Let say you work hard to get Pearl to good REP in SP it will stay good in SP only. So when you save and log on in MP pearl will revert back to default REP and when you log back to SP pearl will once again be good REP.

All cash and contract and equipment earn on MP will go with you once you log back to SP

Why does Rep change in MP vs SP? Does MP default rep change or stays static?

Long story short. MP server can not yell you and another pilot apart when it come to REP so it set as default to make thing easy on coding.
Also it try not to hurt you when you want tibreyurn to SP.

Why does Rep change in MP vs SP? Does MP default rep change or stays static?
Excerpts from previous discussions, debates, etc, on the topic:

The main reason for the separate reputation structure between SP and MP in Evochron is to allow players to perform activities in MP that do not impact their earned individual SP reputations while still allowing them to keep everything else they've earned to use in both SP and MP. From pervious discussions/debates about it:

Multiplayer reputations are synchronized for human players as part of the fleet system and to accommodate the conditions for multiplayer itself. Reputations are 'locked' in to protect your earned reputations for various actions while you're in multiplayer (primarily so that taking actions you may need to in multiplayer do not adversely effect the reputations you have earned in single player).

...

The primary reason for this are the player requests for a 'no-penalty' environment in multiplayer. That is, players want to be able to take actions in multiplayer (coop or otherwise) that they normally would not take in single player and not have their reputation penalized for it. As an example, they may have to attack ships that they were normally allied with in single player due to circumstances in multiplayer caused by helping out other human players. They want the option to do that without harming the reputation they worked so hard to achieve in single player. This lets the player do whatever actions they want in multiplayer without worrying about hurting their (hard) earned single player reputations.

...

And if you've played certain other games, you've probably encountered the scenarios where one player has a bad rep in the same system one of their coop buddies has a good rep, it then hinders their ability to find jobs where they want when they want and to complete those objectives because they fail to share a reputation... even if they are of the same 'clan'... even if they are 'linked' together in a group... even if they are flying together in formation both as human players. And that's another element to why human reputations are linked together... but really just for common location.

So rather than having a spagetti reputation system, where even friends can have different enemies and allies in the same system (even though they themselves might be linked by group or common coop interest) resulting in interference for working together or even just trying to travel together, human reputations follow human activities based on location. If you're flying with a buddy, you can expect to have the same enemies and allies come along.

Pros and cons to each method, but this system does have its reasons. In short, the system is designed to facilitate group participation more than individual rep threads. Plus, you don't lose what you earn in SP, whether by your actions, the actions of others, or your actions together as a group.

Vice and all, thanks for your invaluable help and assistance. ;) It's great to meet so many helpful folks here.

With that said, I want to communicate my sincere apology for my many off topic posts in this thread. I didn’t intend to hijack this forum thread topic. My 15 yr old son mentioned to me about his learning about forum conversation etiquette from a game he plays online and the thought just hit me about my postings here.

Best regards,
Logan

NP Logan Malone, when someone wants to post about an even easier way of making money (I have one in mind I want to test) it is easy enough to hijack it it back.

Speaking of hijacking the thread back I have found an even quicker way of making money.

I just made a billion credits in a little over half an hour.

I am going to keep the details to myself for now but I will post them eventually. It is nothing special, just a more efficient way of doing what I already posted about in this thread.

EDIT: lol that was easy, took me about 2 hours to make 4.5 billion credits and go from advanced to legend. Now I guess it is time to become a fleet admiral, that will probably take a lot longer.

I am still a relative newbie, but for me getting out of Pearl was pretty hairy because like a dozen baddies were mobbing the jump gate. Still I got out without any damage, but it raised my pulse a bit. ;) They also mob stations pretty well sometimes, but that is only a problem if you need to get into that station. Even then, you can do a mad dash and then "enter station". ;)

Another tip is that as soon as it lets you hit the nav button when you are coming out of a jump or jump gate, pick a spot in the middle of nowhere that is near enough to jump to. That way, if you find yourself in the thick of it, just jump out of the way. :)

A superb system for mining is the Atlas system, it is also pretty safe and you can sell your ore for high prices. I am pretty sure they sell build constructors there too.
for those system wif bad guys i usually try to used up my afterburner to run ^^Y

as for the atlas system, the raw materials there kinda high price, platinium 7 - 9k, diamonds 2 - 6k plus gold and silver around 3 or 4 k. Mining wif probe + mining beam (wif science ops) will be a fast mining cash spot ^^

Atlas system sold most equipment too :D

I seen the swarm of hostiles in pearl, but still have only minor funds, I'd bought a load of stuff in pearl, autopilotted to hidden planet, forgetting that i'd no money left to pay docking fee and i had 20k worth of damage so couldnt go straight back to oasis port,

So i went to lost rucker to explore, still carrying the cargo i got at oasis, and found, that in lost rucker, you get the same prices as in hidden planet, and its faster travel time.

also no docking fees, and a safe zone to get repairs done/let repair unit do its job.

Man, I find it very hard to dock at the station. Reds all over the place. They start hammering me the minute I dock. ???

after you dock enter the station (should be the top most option on the left). This will stop the attacks and you can perform most functions before you use the launch function to put you back at the docked position.;)

You have to be quick to dock. As soon as you dock enter the station, then you are as safe as you are in the exit menu. Just press the "Enter Station" button once you are docked (you can also avoid incoming missiles that way). The number of reds around a station is completely irrelevant. The trick is jumping in so that you can dock quickly before the reds have the time to get to you. Make sure the pitch ladder says 0 and you have no lateral or vertical velocity before you jump, then you will enter the station in minimum time. You can use the afterburner after you jump to dock slightly faster, don't forget to do that or turn IDS off. No point slowing down on your way to the dock.

The prices at Lost Rucker aren't as good as Pearl Hidden. Lots of places like that (such as Sol and Riftspace) offer prices that are nearly as good but still appreciably lower. Going to Lost Rucker from Oasis might actually let you earn cash slightly faster because the travel time is less (5 jumps vs 10-13) but it requires more manual work. Your rep starts out as good there so it might be slightly easier if the heat in Pearl is too much for you.

Still pales in comparison to the way I now use to make money. Don't worry, I am getting close to spelling out the details of how I do that. It is a lot quicker (but not really any safer) than this method.

 FTs can be bought at Wal*Mart for 1.5 mil and sold down the hill for a little over 4 mil each.

I prefer to buy FTs for 1.8 mil and sell for 5 mil 20 seconds later. Of course the prices you see and the profit you get depends on your civilian rank to some extent.

I just timed myself, in 37 mins I made 1,954 mil. That's an average of just over 50 mil a minute and a bit over 3 billion an hour. Someone else mentioned making 50 million a minute, not sure if they know about the same method or if he was talking about max profit per minute rather than average. The profit per minute varies depending on what goods spawn and how seamlessly you use the interface. When the dice roll my way I was making about 100 mil a minute, but that was balanced out by extra jumps when the stations didn't spawn enough decent goods.

for the ultra lazy, heres the safe co-ords i use on the hidden trade route

http://pastebin.ca/PJeor7dn

password on this co-ord paste is: very-lazy

---

edit: i had game still running while typing this, had 0 thrust above hidden planet, typed this out and found myself on planet intact right next to the city Image

landing on hidden planet 1st time can be hard to see the green indicators as you pass thru the really dense cloud, open nav display helps you see the landing indicators more clearly.

Hey G, are the SZ coordinates correct for Port Oasis? Should be -1802? Not -802. Eh?

ahh yes...

While looking through this forum i found your site and the coords on your site. The only problem is when I am in pearl system and I enter the coords in it says I am 20 sectors away. I then look around the nav map to find the waypoint marker and its nowhere to be found. Im guessing im not doin this right and i am lost!! Any input would be helpful as to where this planet is.

Don't forget that you have Sector coordinates SX, SY, SZ (Think of it as the city your going to)
and the Position coordinates PX, PY, PZ (Think of it as the street adress in the city). They range from
-100 000 to 100 000 within a sector.

Hope this helps.
