no downside to being killed apart from reputation
sneaky attacks when the clan isn't home to defend - a whole clan disappearing in real space is unlikely - they are more likely to be swapping yards in the station tavern!
linking these with the lack of cash sinks in the game (from another thread)
Is there any mileage (kilometerage doesn't sound as smoothly!) to allowing stations to equipped with (very expensive) auto-controlled ordinance - missiles, guns and fighters - (like hiring your own support fleet) and that could be programmed to attack any members of hostile clans
If Vice could programme a short delay before reloads (getting longer for failed repeat attacks) it would deter the "into the breech and don't worry about dying" attitude that seems to be causing some members grief!
Just a suggestion!

COnsidering I was only asking members of UE to be considerate with their actions and their was a viable alternative for their fun, I was suprised how much your clan member decided to "qq" about it. ... Well I'm currently sick of the whole clan influence thing and lack of mechanics to effect any reasonable outcomes from clan politics anyway and it seems detriment to everyones fun. So hey nice idea have a clan ownership system, but it obviously aint working.
Wow. Interesting. I never thought that there would be any debate about UE clan's actions, as we're basically explorers, and as far as I'm concerned, we do not care that much about controlling territories like other clans (perhaps TBird should correct me, if I'm wrong). At least I was totally unaware of the whole clan territory thing and would have never hesitated to do a mission if it seems fun to me -- regardless where it was.
Perhaps it should simply be made more clear by the game that player's actions affect the ownership status and that they should think twice about doing missions in debated areas. I think lots of unnecessary or unwanted conflicts could be avoided then.
