Don't understand your problem Nyu. The server is up & running, there are players on line and the game is running well for everyone.
I honestly do not know what you mean by "re-up warp rextures"

I think he is talking about the pics from the first post showing the wrap and star mod. They aren't uploading for me too and I would like to see them too. And by re-up I think he means re-upload the pictures

Yep, Nyu just wants to download the textures from the first post.
But as you can see, they're not available anymore (broken link) :cool:

Sorry, I don't know really what were these textures (very old topic) ^^ and I don't have these textures for upload.

Yeah sorry, I was just wondering if anyone had the pictures of the warp textures from the original post,
as I've spied them in google images web cache and they look cool. But everyone's confirmed they are down.

Check me on this MM, or anyone. Wouldn't the color of the warp "signature" light bleed-off appear blue on "approach" (blue event-horizon) and red on "departure" (red shift)? Whereas now, the color of the warp "signatures" denote whether one is warping - using a jump gate (blue); or warping - using an inter-system way point (red).

:cool: If you're thinking of a Doppler shift, I doubt it would light up the entire sky. It would probably only affect objects which broadcast in some part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The warp effect seen when using the hyperdrive would more likely result from some type of energy being generated as a result of the Fulcrum drive's operation.

Call me a realist, call me a pragmatist. The physics in-game have so far, been as right on the mark as I think Vice can create it. Granted, given current tools and technology, creating something in-game that occurs in real life, (and is widely discussed in certain circles; ie: Alcubierre's equations, quantum mechanics/physics, astronimicals, doppler shift and etc.) would probably present challenges of several magnitudes, for any game developer/creator.
And then, when I realized a minor faux pas in mis-coloring the warp signatures; (mere moments, mind you) I decided to leave the post as is. Thanks Marv, for your suggestion. The warp translational effect may only manifest in a localized area. Would not expect much more than a mild elctro-magnetic efffect, if any. Probably no more than several thousand kilometers (englobed) around the warp event itself. And might be recognized as no more than a magnetic annomally. Or, the effect may be realized as no more than a bleed-off of light, and possibly heat. (ref.: When current AI/NPC ships warp into and out of your localized area, in-game; circle-and-dot "effect" = light ?)
Except when allegedly stealthed, and IAW current game "technology", ships warping into an out of your immediate area, are registered on your navcon radar and target main screens. What are the sensor triggers ? Mass/density/electro-mag, light, heat; the presence/evidence of an active warp drive/signature ? ;) :cool::cool:

:cool: Probably something similar to the readings you'd get with a wormhole. Since the jump drive effect is a lot like a man-made wormhole anyway.

Since no actual real life wormholes have been discovered and studied it is all still theoretical as is the concept of Space Time folding and the loose flying Paradoxes of Marvin and Me....;):P:P:P:P:P:P
