Is anyone still using the pre-Expansion version of EM?

This is true, the old cities are better BUT the new Custom Kit alow mod the cities, plants, etc

And in the music style, i like the RD composition, and i like the rock/Heavy but for evochron i prefer some classical music, like the Gustav Holst suite.

Yeah, Davek, AdamSelene, ..........

..... Searching in this site, I have found this music that I like (apart the first track), based mainly on Rich Douglas work : "Deep_mix" .
(Anyway Rich Douglas is great, and really appropriate ...)

For the cities, the link you posted, Davek, didn't work for 1.8 (cities rotated of 90 °), but I have found this "Starport_City" that's no bad and work.

This mods should be in the site of Seejay !

....... I think that the will to play Evochron is coming back ...........

...Anyway.... Speaking of 1.x ..... I've gotten a wild hare (so to speak ) to revisit the pre-expansion.

Is there any way to install both versions on the same hard drive without intermingling the file path and installations?
