Thx Denny.

Any weather works for me. I'm not home, eating
and drinking in a beautiful country with
very nice people. What can go wrong???

Maybe we could hook up for a beer or two?

We have rental cars for 2 weeks so any suggestions
for nice places to see/do is appreciated.

We leave home at 3.30 am (in about 5 hrs lol)

See ya in a bit mate 😀

Hey you guys, I was wondering how everyone is doing! I read that not many of us are active players, it is so sad. I was also wondering if it would be possible to set up a date e.g. once a week to meet on a server and tell our news or kill some vonari! I wouldn't like the old team to break up...
Ok, nice try. Now... it\'s my turn....

Well, Pisa itself is something to see for sure since you're so near.

Another nice trip would be to the nearby mountains of Abetone if the weather gets hot. It's nice and refreshing for a day trip.

You can come to the sea part too and visit Marina di Pisa and then coming down south hrough Livorno (where I live) and still south passing along the coastal road of Romito (where they filmed a famous movie with Vittorio Gassman) that goes 'till Castiglioncello... a nice gem of our coast.

Firenze then, I guess is a must to see.
Best regards

First adventure after the planetfall to Earth and
a successfull docking with Italy.

Went up to the mountains and spotted a few
eagles. Walked up a river jumping back and forth
over it on slippery rocks. The goal was NOT to
get wet. I helped my youngest (toughest) son
when the jumps/steps was to big for him.
Naturally he slipped once and I "saved" him from
falling in. In doing so I got my feet and one arm
wet pressing my waist up to save my cellphone LOL.
Yup, I'm a real hiker ...... or not😜

Later we hanged in the pool playing games.

All in all a great first day in sunny Italy.

I thought I spotted DennyMala in the woods, but
it turned out to be another ol fart😛

Lots of rain today, so me and the kids took
the car size ship and headed up in the mountains
and explored a cave called "Grotta del Vento".

Very nice day indeed. Now it's time to hit the pool
before some BBQ at our station.

Coffee and a Scotch was served by my wife on our
return. Is this a holiday or what?😜

Thought I saw Denny again in the cave, but it was
a giant bear skeleton. 😀

Today we hanged by the pool and made antipasti
for lunch. Then we spotted Denny .... no, it was a
huge (25cm) snake in the pool.

Like the buschman I am, I grabbed it with
my teeths and shook it before spitting it
out in the woods. (Read: Catching it with a net)
Had no idea if it was dangerous but it looked
like a nice one😜

Sorry, no, but I almost stepped on it's mother about an hr
ago. 1m long. I checked the net and I think it was a
Green Whip Snake. Harmless to humans but it can bite.
I think I bite harder!😝

I'll post a pic if I can get it the next encounter.

It's not a rare sight in woods here, we have some vipers too but it's not common not too dangerous in this season provided you're somewhat loud when hiking (moving bushes with a stick or just talking with you kins), the flee on the spot.

I talked to the owner of the place we are renting.

It was a Viper snake. It's poisoness but not lethal.
Recommendation is to get serum if bitten by it.

Guess he was lucky I didn't bite him😜

Vipers here are potentially lethal... better to avoid them but it is unusual for them to be found in the water.

His heas was somewhat triangular? Or more elonged?
Brownish or greenish in colour?

From what I remember, if you got on the wrong side of him Viper was pretty lethal where ever he flew! :P

That's what I think as well.
I assume that a Viper would have attacked
me since I almost stepped on it.

LOL.

Or, it looked into my eyes and decided to run away with it's
tail between the legs. :P

 If it had legs, then it probably was a snizard* ... a cross between a snake and a lizard ... found in places like Sardinia. (Very few reach three feet long, though.)

* Not its real name. But, nonetheless, an accurate description.
