New Player Question

Hi forum, I'm new and am really excited to get involved in the incredible game that is Evochron Mercenary!

I seem to be getting to grips with everything, but one thing baffles me. After doing a few IMG quests as a mercenary, they finally reward me by telling me coordinates to some hidden cargo containers that I can use in the glacia quadrant i think.

But that's not specific enough because it is a huge quadrants and those coordinates could be in any of the boxes on the nav map! (sorry for the badly articulated description, hehe).

my question is.. how do I find where this location is? I kept my eye pealed for purple as I jumped from box to box at the same coordinates hoping to find it somewhere in the region, but no luck:(

can anyone enlighten me? Thanks in advance!!

Hello acridrose, learning the how and when is something we all went through so don't worry. You might try putting the coordinates into the section for them on the nav map and push auto pilot to take you there. This will only work if you enter them correctly tho. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. If you jump onto the Remula One server you will find Pilots there willing to help you also.

Sounds like you have sector coordinates confused with standard, in-sector coordinates. Try reading through this:

70000x, -20000y, 80000z

I enter these in the left hand collumn-- but what do I have in sector values? (Right hand collumn)

You should've been given a location, usually a unique station name or a planet. Find that object in space and enter that sector. Those will be your sector (SX, SY and SZ) coordinates.

ah that's right they said the Glacia sector. Is there just one set of sector coordinates for that? I thought there are a couple which is why I got confused! I think this makes sense, I'll need to look for the planet and read off the main sector coordinates?
