I was paitently awaiting Elite 4 to be released, but it appears as though you have accomplished that here meeting or exceeding the original specification. Congrats!

Now the only thing I miss is hunting down bad guys across the universe using a hyperspace cloud analyser. If you can some how make something like this work with your rendering engine you would put an eternal smile upon my face.

Keep the plantery eye candy coming, and you'll continually be getting my $29.99.....

Hi Biendunga, I whole heartedly agree with this being Elite 4 and better....And also you can use Sensor stations and probes to chase and hunt the Bad Aliens who are not always but most of the time the Bad Good Guys.......

Some games were famous in their age. Adapting old games today mostly don't satisfy me...

Evochron series are way better than Elite series, you can compare two games easily If you played both!

I am reading "Main Futures of Evochron Mercenary", I say "wow" everytime!

For Elite 4, they have to work so much! But bad news for those who wait Elite 4, they removed the game from develoment list in 2010! After 4 years of development, they remove it!

Elite has been written by one man as you know, new Elite is now Evochron Mercenary, again has been written by one man alone. But there is one difference, year was 2010!!!!

Funny you mentioned this, my first favorite genre in pc gaming was space combat, with the wing commander series and then later xwing, tie fighter, freespace, and elite, and the list goes on, Im happy the space sim is alive and well with the outstanding evochron games, Mercenary being the best yet in the spirit of elite and privateer style freeform space combat, which are a rare breed these days. Multiplayer makes it more immersive and brings the community together. Thank you for the crown jewel of space combat gaming Vice!

Elite (original - BBC B - 1981) hooked me onto space sims; played and waited through colourful Elite extensions on Windows, Freelancer, Independence War etc and finally discovered Evochron Legends - just a month or two before the caterpillar metamorphosed in to beautiful butterfly of Evochron Mercenary . . .

worth every penny to "upgrade" from EL to EM
still stunned by the graphics and breadth of gameplay
still more than stunned by the fact that it is a "one Vice band"
still even more stunned at how quickly suggestions/developments are evaulated and, if proven, incorporated into the game
still stunned by the generosity and breadth of the forums

basically, still stunned . . .
