Impulse Version not up to date

Post by Darkside360 »

Hi I just bought the game via impulse it said it had the current version 1.128 but when I play the game it is version 1.108 and keeps telling me there is an update available. Is this a bug?

The latest build was provided to Impulse, so I'm not sure why they would not be updating it. You should be be able to manually download and install 1.128 though, just install it to the same folder Impulse put it in.

Which is what it said when I bought it. Version 1.128 but when Its running on the main menu it says 1.108.

And from my experience of using Steam you NEVER download a patch to a client like these because they usually have different patching processes and could potentially corrupt the next update. However if this is not the case with Impulse could you please direct me to the update so I may download it? Thank you sir.

each new release you must download the game again in its entirety. luckily, it isnt very large for such a large game.

Impulse says it is 1.128 but it installs 1.108.
I downloaded and installed in a new folder, but installing into the impulse folder does not work because they use some files unique to their installation (or so it seems).

Either way, once you have it installed on impulse and register it, you can still just install 1.128 to another location and it will work with the same registration. It is small enough that it is not a big deal.

Yep thats what I ended up doing. I'm still amazed how the creator managed to get a game of this quality under 300MB. Its larger than Freelancer that game was easily 3 GB. I guess not having a lot of dialogue and cut scenes help?
