Anyway to darken the transparency settings?
When on New Hope, I can't see objects, markers, destination coordinates, etc on the navigation console due to the brightness of the sun and clouds on the planet which you see thru the console window transparency.
Thanks

My galactic economic dominance strategy is to rule the universe one asteroid and mining laser at a time.

Maybe it could help if you modify the consoles' colors (check out the custom kit). Try to use darker colors than in the original graphics, maybe that'll help.
But can't you just turn around at a direction where there aren't suns, clouds, nebulas, etc etc, before opening the console? It might get on your nerves always to look at a position where you have a nice background for your console before opening it. But I think that would be the easiest way ^^

I was afraid I would crash my newb ship, LOL. I'm a private pilot in real life...it's just my ingrained habit of using instrumentation over visual observations. My fault, hehe.Originally posted by Scavenger4711

Any tutorials for using the Custom Kit and modifying the navigation console? I have the custom kit, however what I need to do and how I go about doing so is beyond my experience in editing games.

Hi Logan Malone, welcome to the forum and the game. You can also turn of the shader in the control options menu, and you won't have glare and such hindering your visibility, takes away some of simulation reality.....

Navigation Console Adjustments?
Yes, I did read the Readme text but I still don't understand what I need to do exactly. I screwed up my game today doing so. I had to totally re-install the entire game and lost all my game saves and all the progress over the past 2 days of playing. I was really peeved since I had 3.5 mil from mining and contracts. I started a new pilot from a fresh game installation today.
Would be nice if it was explained in detail for those of us who are brand new to this type of editing.
I've changed game config files in the past that listed video related settings, however I can't seem to even find my game save files or where they are located in the game directory. I don't see anything listed as a save file.

Unless you physically deleted those profile files, they're probably still around.
