Hi everybody, I just bought EL a couple of days ago and I have some questions:
I think the displayed price for Oxygen is wrong: when I see 50K I sell it for 5K; is there something I miss?
I installed EL in D:\\Evochron Legends why the game creates C:\\sw3dg\\EvochronLegends and store there my profiles instead of using the install directory?
EDIT: I found this topic and that's the answer
The mouse seems to be a little unresponsive in the interface: is there a way to enable hardware mouse pointer (in many games this solves the problem)?
While playing MP how do I know where are the other players?

You're right, that's a bug. It's limited to displayed price, I'll work on getting that fixed quickly.

This can vary a bit on the system, slower input updates can result in slower pointer updates. There aren't alternate mouse pointer modes, but sometimes switching to a full screen mode improves response and performance.

Hold the ~ key, their sectors appear next to their names. More details are available in the instructions included with the game.
Update is ready for download to fix the inaccurate oxygen price. Download link is available on the game's website (version number will remain the same, 1.288).

What about an option to select between the custom cursor or the original windows cursor? May be the lag will go away without a custom cursor (this little lag is irritating, especially when trying to point an exact location on the map).
Sometime I also see a lag when changing inventory screens: the graphics is half refreshed for about half a second, not a big issue but still noticeable.
FYI my spec are:
Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo 2.5Ghz
4 GB ram DDR2 dual channel
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS 512MB
and I'm playing with a Saitek X52
There seemed to be some kind of correlation with certain mouse devices, Logitech G-something iirc. It was as though some devices returned input signals differently, slightly delayed. Changing the pointer itself wouldn't help a problem with laggy response, you'd just have a white pointer that behaved the same way. It's likely either due to a low framerate causing a low update rate or a mouse device itself returning input data slower than normal. Next time you're in-game, hold the status key and see what kind of framerate you are getting. If your framerate is around 30-40, then you'll have 30-40 updates per second. If it's only around 15-20, then you'll have half the updates and mouse response will likely seem significantly slower.
Some mouse options allows you to speed up the mouse pointer, would that solve the lag or is it strictly frame rate related? I will try next time to see but for now I'm just wondering....?

The game itself attempts to update the mouse position with every frame, so anything beyond its control might need adjustment to return input signals faster. More 'movement' wouldn't likely resolve any delayed input response, but if an option were available to accelerate the rate of input directly, it might help with some mouse devices.
I've seen this issue before, in other games. In just about every case, the problem was only solved by downloading and installing a program like nHancer (or something similar) and then changing the "frames looking ahead" .... I'll need to check exactly how I fixed it after booting up my gaming computer (currently having a Yoda moment).
Edit: Okay, I used RivaTuner. Tweaking Direct3D. Changed the VSync Prerender limit and set it to "Always on." Did the same with OpenGL.
Also, if you're using a fast system, make sure to remove the framerate sync limiter in the game by using one of the 'Max VSync' screen modes. That will allow the game to run at speeds up to the refresh rate of your monitor, potentially increasing the framerate performance, which will increase the mouse position sampling rate by default.
