Am I missing something?

Post by wmuschetto »

Morning everyone!
At work but cant really think about anything but going home and playing this game.
I was wondering, I hear in the forums about cloaking devises and probes and stuff but have not yet found any. I'm guessing there is a lot to the game I haven't found yet, but is it just luck of the draw when docking?

Also I'm playing the single player until I get the hang of the game, is there anything additional on multilayer and how welcoming is the community to new players? I used to be a hardcore eve addict and there they can be pretty harsh.

 Multiplayer is your friend ... usually. Read up (here, at the forum) on the latest news and you should get a pretty good idea as to who will help and who will want to hurt you. Basically, steer clear of anyone touting a nickname similar to any of the bad guys seen in sci-fi movies, TV programs or literature.

;) Concerning the good guys ... they will usually help you find the things you're looking for. And, if you head over to where they're busy defending the galaxy against pirates and Vonari, you'll probably learn a few tricks and pick up a whole lot of cash and reputation to boot.

Oh ya there is LOTS to this game. Some stuff you have to travel to distant locations to find and some stuff is in hidden locations but clues are around. The MP crowd are very helpful with only a few who can't fight a skilled pilot so pick on Newbies (lol) for their kicks. I recommend joining MP as you can learn a lot and earn $ at the same time. Don't worry about getting killed as we all have and still do at times (just remember to Save, Save, Save)!;):P:)

 Try the B5 server (it has a longer name but I can never remember what it is ... never watched that series on TV). If nobody is on line when you get there, hang around anyway ... do some mining on a planet or some exploring. Usually, somebody will show up within the hour. Or, if you're lucky, the server will start talking to you.

Yes ussualy when you hang around for a bit others will join, but if you are alone and Romulan shows up then you better hide or you can try to outsmart and out run Romulan till more skill full pilots show up to help you if in need....;)

Oh yes, Romulan likes to kick puppies hind quarters without warning and He/She don't talk if they do talk then it is not the real Romulan.......:P:P:P

;) Not necessarily. "Bad Aliens" could also mean they are bad at being aliens. Kind'a like being bad shots.

But then there's always bad at being bad. And that's the type of bad you don't want to be because well....... that's just bad. :)

 To bad, or not to bad ... that, too, is the question. Depending on how late it is, I'd say, "Definitely, to bad ... else you might wake up on the wrong side of the bad."

I don't get out of bed on the side anymore...
I just slide out at the foot of the bed! Can't take any chances anymore.:)

LOL...but it is easier to see what is on each side than what you might find at the foot of the bed. You might find yourself dragged by the feet out of the bad, now I do not know if that is a good thing. Again it is relative to the size of the bad...the dragging out of bed could go on forever...LOL....:P

 Then, of course, there's the one about the guy who drowned in his water bed. He slept out too far.

Did you hear about the fellow with the longest nose in the world?
He rolled over in his sleep, sneezed, and blew his brains out!:P:P:P

There is a difference between a long and a big nose. With a long nose it is not necesarely possible but with the biggest nose it might be possible, but since you mention a long nose it must have been something else that blew his brain out and not his sneezing.....relativity again.....LOL.....:P:P:P:P:P
