PROBES

Hi, I'm a little new to some of the devices on Legends. When I launch my long range probes they travel to their end point without transmitting any information--even when I'm aiming at a nearby station or planet. What am I doing wrong?

I thought that you could launch a probe in a certain direction to ping a specific area, meaning the probe moves to the center of an area when launched and then becomes stationary and transmit the info no...?:o

Nope as far as I know when you launch the probe... the point at which you are sitting becomes the center point in a circle radius that is 25km from that point in each direction.

Roughly that's an 8th of a sector I gather.

Which information does a probe deliver you? Because if you have a scientist on board, a probe is more or less "useless", or am I wrong?
