Hello!

I'm new to the Evochron universe, this is my first game from Starwraith and I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying it. I've played most of the other space sims and come from a combat flight sim background and just wanted to say how much I enjoy EL. It's one of the first space sims I've played where just flying (do you still call it that in space?) is fun. I even enjoy managing fuel and trying to see how little I can use outside of combat.

Zipping sideways at 3000 kmh though a group of enemy fighters popping off counter measures and blasting away with cannons and missles is a blast. Probably the best combat in a space sim I've played yet. Also a HUGE thanks for having TrackIR support, nothing increases immersion like having your head in the cockpit.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I saw a few servers online when I checked last night, is there a preferred one amongst the forum members?

Welcome to the forum, and the game. Babylon 5 seems to be the preferred server, is for me anyway.

Flying ... sailing ... cruising around the galaxy. They all sound better, IMHO, than "space shipping." And, yup, I think you'll find the B5 server is normally number one ... with the Main server being a backup for when B5 is down and MM is too busy watching football to fix it.

Space shipping sounds like something that Fed Ex would do in the future, I'll stick with flying.
