Hi all. Purchased the game a few days ago. Its taken me this long to drag myself away and do something else. Can't get enough! Great game and even better community.
A few days ago after watching some Battlestar Galactica, I decided to check out the online game. In short, it was terrible. I have quite a good PC at the moment and a steady internet connection but the control latency was awful (3-5sec). I didn't give up hope though and visited the forum. Turns out it's a known issue yet the developers weren't fixing it. Not only that, I was treated very much like a 'noob'. People seemed very unwilling to help and offered no advice. So obviously that got me looking elsewhere.
Well happy to find Evochron. It's given me my sci-fi fix and taken me back to the good ol' x-wing and tie-fighter games.
I've just modded my music to play the Battlestar OSTs and it sounds well good.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for any other Battlestar based mods?

And, Is it possible to change the intro movie?

Hello and welcome, glad you have you aboard. I can offer some details on changing the intro movie. In the current 1.X build of the game, it's not really an available option. But once the expansion becomes available, you'll be able to import a custom intro movie by creating a folder in the game's install folder named \\intro and placing a WMV format movie file in that folder using the filename introvideo.wmv

Hi icarus. I also started playing right after I finished the battlestar galactica series. I was drawn to how the ships use external thrusters to move around, just like in BSG's vipers.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Anyone play Orbiter? It's a very realistic space sim. Not fun for the casual gamer. However, there are alot of mods for the thing. Maybe some resources will be useful here.

I used to fly the Orbiter sim a lot ... but got tired of flat planet surfaces. Then along came StarWraith! I still check the Orbiter forum now and then to see if the terrain plug-in has been perfected. Or if anyone has taken up and finished the multiplayer mod (speaking of which, in Evochron you will seldom find any of the lag you experience in other space sims).
