Problem: Constant Acceleration Down and Left...

Hello everyone,

I am playing evochron mercenary and I love it except I always accelerate down and to the left regardless of the direction I am going. This makes it impossible to stop.

It gets real crazy if I disable IDS because then I end up going down at like 1700 and left at like 900 or something crazy like that.

This makes it really hard and zaps the realism.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Yes, check your axis binding in the Configure Controls menu. Two axis channels are likely reacting to non-centered input from your control device on the horizontal and vertical thruster controls.

Yup.. switch to Keyboard+Mouse control, if the problem goes away then it's likely as Vice suggests.. That would have been my first thought also, that something is non-centered and needs to be calibrated.

You can also alter the deadzone for your stick - if it's too tight then any slight off centering of your stick in its "rest" position (as mine had) can lead to drift
