The earth in sol. System

Hi, guys!

What I'm thinking is the strange round thing around the earth in sol. system is probably a space elevator which is used for taking people into space which doesn't exist in real life yet. And I think the round thing around the earth which is the space elevator is sometime in the 2400's or 2500's which is 400 or 500 years from now.

That is actually the earth defence ring, It prevents you from getting to land on earth unless you can figure out the secret like some others have.

Well, yeah. You could have figured this much if you'd read about the Evochron universe. The game is in fact set somewhere in the very early 2400's.

If I remember my Terran-Vonari war history correctly the Earth ring was constructed shortly after the first Vonari attack on Earth. The Vonari were very close to destroying Earth, so the purpose of the ring was to be a protection against further Vonari attack. Unfortunatley, Earth defense also considers mercenaries as a threat which is why we can't land on Earth (unless you're Maars - I think he bribed them!).

I did try bribing, but I could not find the proper officials to bribe or one that would accept the bribe to let me through so I had to go back to the drawing board!.....
