Love the game so far, well except that i'm having some serious shipbuilding issues. I got to trading routes mostly from here :) and finaly built up some serious cash.

Now I stored my old ship and its equipment then built a new ship but it says all the equipment hard points are used up even though the spaces for equipment are empty.

Did I step into a bug and squandered a mornings worth of work and have to start over? Cause nothing i've done has gotten rid of the hard points used up even going back to my original ship.

Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks :).

"Welcome Aboard rugersp101"...Not sure why that happened, but then again I myself do not store ships or other items. I'm pretty happy flying a military ship...:)

Make sure that when you go into the shipyard, and you select the frame, that you have make space available for the equipment. Try taking away passenger or CM spaces and fill your equipment spaces to the max (8). That's the only thing I can think of that might be holding you back

I've sold everything and tried to rebuild it. Nothing. If been cruising the boards for awhile now and I know the developer has seen something like this happen before from another post i found after posting this. SOrry bout that.

I've started over and will just avoid storing for the time being, it was just 128 million credits :P

Other than that the games beautiful and diving into Oasis at ramming speed with a gazillion missles on my tail never gets old.

Yeah I had to break down and find a good starting trade route, i felt dirty not finding myself, and I never would :), but having cash is handy.

Thanks for the replies.

 I never put a ship in the hangar for storage. For one reason, military ships can't be recovered from a trade station ... they can only be rebuilt at a carrier. And vice versa. Instead, I use the hangar to store items which are hard to find, leaving them in storage only long enough to do whatever it is needs to be done with a piece of equipment I can sell afterward. Then I immediately recover whatever it is I have in storage.

Strange I have never had an issue storing military or civilian ships in the hangers. If I do not have a ship in the hanger is duplicates the civ or mil ship and puts one in the hanger. If I already have a ship in the hanger I can trade with no problems. The only issue you might run into I have seen is if you are trying to put a ship in storage and do not have the money for the duplicate.

Yes you can store them but once you trade a military ship at a trade station from storage you can never get it back from that trade station. That is what Marvin means I think, Not the word Marvin, but the person called Marvin...it is all relative to your perception you know!.....;):P:cool:

 Yeah, what Maars said. If you try to retrieve your military ship from a trade station, you will be told that type of ship isn't available.

i'm confused here. I store my military ships at trade stations often.
Never do I sell the ship but leave it in storage then buy a civ frame for trading with.
When finished trade runs i go back to hanger swap the ship stored in hanger with current ship, then sell the ship now stored in hanger (civilian ship )
I am now back in my military frame. I have never had any problems doing this.

Some people just do not want to deal with the storage fee so they sell their military ship and buy a Civilian ship at a trade station and ussualy if they are in a Warzone there is no need to store your ship since you can get a military ship at the Carriers in the Warzones and each warzone has atleast one Carrier and a Trade Station!......So Marvin just abreviate his explanations and does not like to talk and explain it as in many words as I do.....his diagrams and pictures are more convincing and clear then his text explanations!......;):P:cool:

The fact that you can not buy a military frame from a trade station
is precisely the reason why one might want to store one there in the hanger. :D

Except at a Player build Station in a warzone that can go poof! You are at risk of loosing the value of your military ship and storage fees at this Station if you do not trade it in for a Civillian ship and sometimes it is hard to tell what constitutes a player build Station...........;):P:P:P:P:P
