I am a newbie and was doing the IMG missions and made my trip to Olympus Prime but i'm stuck with 140 fuel at my last save and I still have to go really far.. What do I do? everyway I try to do it I just end up running out of fuel.. I even passed a random ship at one point and had him join my fleet and tried the refuel function and that didnt work.. I just got the game so I am learning but I dont want to have to ditch this pilot and make a new one. HELP?!?!

You need to use the jumpgates. They are pink on your map/radar.

Takes you there in an instant.

sigh, If only I knew that prior to departing.. So I guess I have to ditch my profile and start again? Sad cause I have about 3 mill in frame config and other stuff.. How do I know which gate takes me where?

If you can get online, there is still hope

You might be able to keep your profile if you can log in at the Remula One One server.
There will be someone who can help you refuel.

The gates show up on your nav map as red dots; put the cursor over them and the gate destination is revealed. Also, on your nav map, if you go to quadrants, kill off all the clan stuff, you have a schematic of the entire system, and the various links between the systems.

No need to ditch your profile; go to a station and get yourself a larger fuel tank - also, you can cruise indefinitely with IDS switched off.

The gates look like purple stars for me on the nav map. Red dots usually means trouble heading your way, but you only see those on the nav map if you have a sensor array deployed.

Was glad to help out. I ran out of fuel when I 1st started and someone came and helped me out. I was mighty glad I had a station builder equiped as I built us a station so we both could refuel

Just remember to use the nav map and zoom out to find further points. Right click on the station, gate, etc to go exactly there. Be sure to have your ship at 0 before jumping as this will line you up perfectly with your destination. Goodluck and hope to see you out there again in the near future!
