Hi all,

Bit of a noob here, only space sim type game I've played was
Freelancer. It was a fun game that I replayed a few times and played multiplayer as well. It seemed like a game with a lot of potential that wasn't ever implemented in the game. That was disapointing.

I'm still downloading this game but from the video's I've watched, and tutorials ... I'm very excited. This game looks sooooo much better then Freelancer.

This series of game is all the work of one guy that started back in the 90's? Amazing... just damn amazing!

Anyways just wanted to say hello, and share some of my excitement, I'm sure I'll see you all online soon....

If you see a fella accidentally smashing into an asteroid while trying to mine... or hitting a space station while trying to dock... say hi... it's probably me!

Hi and welcome to a GREAT game and community.

I'm also an old Freelancer pilot. This one is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER.
Total freedom to do what YOU want. No need to do any contracts if you don't
want to. It's a way of getting cash and gaining rank, bu thats it.

I strongly recommend doing the IMG quest, since it's designed to teach you the basics.

Join online and lots of pilots will help you with just about anything.

It's really fun to do contracts/IMG together.
(We have all kissed planets, roids and just about anything you can crash into, LOL)

Wow, so tried the demo. Took a bit of getting used to, I remember freelancer was same way. Wish the demo gave you more game time, LOL I think I spent most of the 80+ minutes lost in space.

What an amazing game! I wish the big budget companies put this much effort into the games they are coming out with.

Just install the demo again, and you can play along i think.

It truly is amazing. Wait until you start exploring. It's HUGE!:P
