Multiple Displays / Monitors in EM ??
I have read in some review/preview of that states EM supports multiple displays , is this true and have any of you successfully done this. I have searched the forums regarding this but have come up with very little info. I can't seem to find any options in the game either. Thanks

Yeah, I think multiple moniters have been supported since release. Why not download the demo and try it out?

Yes, I envision having flat screens in front of me, to the left and right, above and behind. All in the 55" range. Each one having the different directional views with the padlocked object marked in each view. Then I'd be sitting on a 12" subwoofer so I can feel the afterburner....
Seriously, this would have to be done for a specific graphic card setup and I'm sure a special build of the game would have to be released. But, if Vice dictated the hardware and implemeted this, who else would go for this type of thing?

Sure, but if I had the money I would be happy with just three 60" HD TVs surrounding 250+ degrees of my vision, and that's already supported. From post: 99257, Topic: tid=7114, author=bienduga wrote: Seriously, this would have to be done for a specific graphic card setup and I'm sure a special build of the game would have to be released. For ultra-widescreen resolutions using systems like Eyefinity and triple-head displays, EM does support multiple monitors. For zoned viewing areas, you'd need to use a system like the player here did: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4153

Thanks for all the info everyone . Damn that's one fine setup he's got . Just curious , how likely would multiple monitor support be in a future evochron title.? Is this something that has come up before?
I use 2 monitors in FSX and find it ads to the experience. I would imagine it would do the same for evochron . But how difficult is it to implement?

Depends on how you're defining 'multiple monitor support'. To many, that means rendering the game across multiple monitors with the appropriate field of view for a resolution like 3840X1024 or 4800X1200. In that case, the game already supports multiple monitors for that popular gaming option. For rendering a certain readout/indicator details on a separate monitor, no, it's not too feasible in the current development platform. However, as that thread I posted illustrates, you can use 3rd party solutions to render data you want to different screens/monitors. The game does also provide an external data export option for those systems.

Thanks again vice , I was referring to the latter option but rendering the game in a extra wide resolution will work too.

I'm on a 42" tv about 1 meter in from of me. With x52, it really immerges you into the game.
