Maximilien , absolutely stunning work on this cockpit.
Many thanks for sharing your work, just been tweaking it a bit and trying it out.

Can I ask how / if it's possible to reduce the amount of reflection on the gauge area? Is there some simple number that can be changed in the .x file someplace to reduce this slightly?

Dang its hard getting an image below 50kb to post here.

For my own use I have made my own "flavour" of the gunsight and pitch ladder for this cockpit, also made the whole display a soft blue and less bright (I use a darkened room to play in).

The level-indication has also been fixed so a barrel roll works properly.

If you'd like the files I've modded (note the gunsight and side-of-ladder level-indicators) to put into your next release of your cockpit Maximilien please let me know and I'll send them across for you to change as you wish.

I'd rather send them to you and add to your work if you approve of the new bits, instead of just releasing them myself.

(I know that the pitch ladder in centre may not be to everyone's taste).

Absolutely awesome work. Reminds me a bit of vassudan/gao'uld design-schemes. I like. And I finally got it working, it looks stunning in-game. Yeah, I'ma keep this as my standard I think. :cool:

I like the top bar design and the display of coordinate information.

Although a beautiful design for a cockpit, I used it only for a short while. The surface is a bit reflective, and so if I am facing away from a star, I get some glare off it. This shouldn't happen, really, because the back of the cockpit is not transparent, but it happens anyway.

The font is a freebie called Glass Gauge.

So, does anyone know if there is a way to reduce the reflection from the gauge area??

:cool: Best way to learn is to take the above mod and open in with Photoshop or Paint. Save the original and try your hand at modding the mod. If you make a mess of it, make another copy and try again.

I finally decided to try on the beautiful HUDs and cockpit you guys have made. And I have to say WOW you guys did an awesome job! That stuff looks fan-friggin-tastic! Absolutely spectacular, well done guys. :) :cool:

Great hud and cockpit! Any way we could turn down the glare? I can't even read my instruments sometimes but it looks so good!

Is anyone else having problems with Maximillien's Cockpit mod in MultiPlayer?

It works fine in SP (by the way it's absolutely gorgeous, well done Maximillien!!). But everytime I try MP the game crashes to desktop at the moment of "entering universe". I downloaded the mod from the link in the first post... is there another more recent one that I've missed?

I'm assuming that there's a problem with the Remula 1 server and mods. I can run all of the mods fine on our private Shacknews server but the second I join Remula it crashes.

:cool: Denny was having lag today but I ran it okay, no problem. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to load (the loading screen slows down where it says it's creating the cockpit) ... but I'm not so sure it only happens when launching to the R1 server.

Wireless connection certainly can play a role in connection problems and lag....I do not use it any more for Evochron Games....;):P:cool:.

Yippee! Problem resolved! It was the WIFI connection. When I connected to internet via a cable I was able to load the game with Maximillien's mod. Looks fantastic. Thanks Maximillien, you've got some great talent there.

I have problem in this mod :(
Periodical, in SP and MP, game closing and make *error 3d object*, when i run game and his loaded to 98% or after use jumpgate :(

sory - game make another error - to at Flora mod and after delete him, game work excelent. strange, but apart this mods haven`t problems.

Here's a modified ccpitreflect.x file that should fix the gauge reflections, for those interested. Just overwrite the old one in the hud folder.
