I can assure you, it IS possible. However, the method used to land on earth is mercenaries best kept secret. Think of it as the Holy Grail of mercdom.
Anyone giving away the secret will be banned for life!

there are photos from legends I believe but no proof that it was from an unedited game, because if your not aware you could edit the system data to remove the ring from earth and safely land. No one will tell you because I believe no one has actually done it.

Well...Let's see landing on Earth...Yes it is the Holy Grail indeed, a quest, I'm currently pursuing. I did hear over an Ale or two, that there was some talk of a pilot who knows the secret. You might catch him out there in the cosmos, Where? Well, that's a mystery to be sure. But, who knows, you might be lucky enough to cross paths with this elusive traveler, and learn the secret. I hear from a whisper or two, they call this pilot...Maarschalk.

What I would like to know is if landing on Earth is an intended secret capability, or if there is some glitch or exploit in the game that Vice has not intended.

I wonder if Vice will even admit to the possibility. As I recall, he did not even confirm or deny the possibility, leading to much vexation.

I think landing on earth IS an intended secret, however I feel that the reward should be more significant than it is, considering the apparent difficulty.
I also heard him say that not all systems have been found either.

I don't see the need to, I personally find that I play space games to pretend I'm not on this planet. I don't like Earth for many reasons. Well mostly the things that have spoiled it that is.

Here we go again......Yes, I managed to land on Earth in Legends on multiplay which I believe only 2 persons provided screenshots as proof. Cause the first Screen shots of proof was from single player mode. And then others figured it out in single player mode and then they tried it in Multi Play but the techniek from Single Play did not work in Multi Play. So as far as I know only Eclipse and I provided proof that it was possible in Multiplay and I do not know of any other that succeeded or claimed to have landed on earth in Legends in Multiplay.......Eclipse probably will not be able to give his input any more. So that leaves me I believe as the sole holder of the secret of Landing on Earth in Multi Play in Legends........I have not made any attempts yet in Mercenary but I believe it will be similar as it was in Legends and my lips are sealed. Lets see if there is any Brave Soul out there that can beat me to it....And any one who does let him/her provide a screenshot in Multiplay as proof of succes of landing on Earth. And those who claim to know how to Land on Earth in Multiplay in Legends let them provide also screenshots as proof......LOL......
