Then my demo time ran out. Oh crap!
But then I shelled out the cash and bought the game.
Now, they tell me it can take up to 24 hours until I get my code. Sad day.
For now, I'm going to ask some giant noob questions.

How do I get more cargo space?
How do I arrange my cargo hold so I can keep more than one thing in it?
Does everyone get text issues when playing in a widescreen resolution?
Has every secret of the universe been explored? Are there amazing things yet to be found?
How hard is it to travel without gates?
Do I need to research star formations to do it? Like, distance between stars?
How cool would that be? (Very cool, you guys. Very cool.)

Hi Rakshi, Depending on the ship you have you can buy up to 5 cargo bays. Each cargo bay will hold up to 25 units of one type item only. What type of text issue are you having? the Universe is never ending so there are still things to find. You can travel without gates as we do when we search for hidden systems but it takes quite a while. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. Have fun and hope to see you out there sometime.

It seems that when I turn my resolution way up, I end up cutting off the bottom %20 of the text. It's all still readable, mind you; but it doesn't look right. Text in the upper left corner and my cockpit text do this. I'll get a screenshot of it tomorrow, when I can get into the game.
Are stars lain out as they should be in the universe? I don't know exactly how much research has been done on the subject but I look forward to finding my way to Sol from Alpha Centauri.
Also, is there support for multiple monitors? I haven't seen any sort of options in the help file.

Hmmm.. personally, I'd send an e-mail/PM to Vice about technical problems (Screen cut, registration code, etc), or maybe start a thread on the Technical help page.

You can customise the text - choose a font and a size an offset etc - I fine tuned it 'til it fitted at my screen resolution You might have to play about a bit. Create a file called setfont.txt and put in the following (not the words just the values):

Font Name
Font Size
Font Bold (0 = off, 1 = on)
Font Type (character set, 1 = default)
Font Position Offset X (below 0 moves to the left, above 0 moves to the right)
Font Position Offset Y (below 0 moves up, above 0 moves down)
Font Size (display/HUD text)

for example you might have:

Arial
20
0
0
0
25

Put the file in the main game folder (usually C:\\sw3dg\\EvochronMercenary)

Are stars lain out as they should be in the universe?

No. All the "known" star systems can be found on or near the galactic equator (Y=0). That being said, nobody but Vice knows how many, if any, unexplored star systems have been placed high above or below the galactic plane.

Atollski has created a mod that makes it a lot easier to go exploring. You can find a copy by searching for it here, at the forum, or by checking out Seejay's website (the link is in his sig).
