As for the program, it's currently at version 1.0. I've compiled it using Visual C++ 2010 and it seems to behave OK. Is there anything else you want on the program? So far, the last thing to do is get a submission system up and running for your site and it should be more or less done!
How can we tell which version we are running? :P

I don't think I put a version number in the program anywhere... but the latest version (1.0) should have a multi tab configuration page including a custom map generator if that's any help...
Like exploring? - Ver. 1.0 (13/02/2011) What is this?

I have created a "Container Finder" and will make some tests before I release it.

The first release will be in excel format and I'll try to get MapMan to include it in the EvoMetrics
as well.

It's simple to use:
When jumping in to a sector and your science officer gives you a Heading and Pitch,
just enter your PX, PY, PZ, Pitch and Heading into the file.

Jump out and back in at another location.
Enter the second set of info: PX, PY, PZ, Pitch and Heading into the file.

You will then get a PX, PY, PZ coord back where the container is.

After testing I'll notify here and upload it to my site.

Thx Maars.

It's available now at my site (http://evochron.junholt.se) download section.

The cells are locked so you won't delete any calculations by mistake. (Required fields are not locked):P
If you want to unlock it, just leave the pwd empty.

Enjoy!;)

I got an Excel file from Mop Head that he created.

It's a map with all found systems. It looks great and
We hope you all will enjoy it.

It's printable on US legal, line up the hash marks (at -742 and -278) and tape it together.

It's also editable.
Avilable now at my sites download section.

Thanks for your great work Mop Head.

Dear Map Man! I apologize for my bad English, but I and my people have a few questions:

1. Is it possible to create in your program space objects: stars and other objects?
2. Please explain it step by step.
3. Where this data is stored and how it is transferred to our server?

If it is difficult to understand, that would not interfere with space site, I am ready to join with you in the mail dialog.

Thank you.!

Hello Sapog662.

Your english is just fine.

Mapman created this program for me and connected it to my database.
Only I update that one.
The online version (webbrowser) is a map only. Nothing can be added here.

The downloadable version:
Create a "savedatasettings.txt" in your game folder. Enter 2000 in that file and save it.
Also create an empty "savedata.txt" in that same folder if you don't have one already.

Start the program.
1. Settings:
SaveData_FilePath: C:/sw3dg/EvochronMercenary/savedata.txt
SaveData_Interval: 5000
2. Yes. Activate the Tracker and then you create a system (star) at your current location.
Go in to that system and then you can add new object in there. (You can add stuff in the systems already there to.
3. I don't know where it is stored. I need to ask MapMan that.

The program works with my online DataBase and stores your own added objects locally.
Only you can see those.

Hope this helps a bit.

You are welcome.

You can email me any findings that is not on the map here:
http://evochron.junholt.se/form/mailform.htm

I will update the DataBase, but I do not update with player
build stations, since they can be destroyed.

(I do have some more systems that is notpublished yet, I
plan to use them in a quest).

Enjoy

Been trying to get the program to work, but the tracking seems to be flipped.

If I jump to the Right of an Object, the blip shows one the right in Evometrics, and if I jump to top, it shows blip on bottom.

Any idea what is going on?

Thats strange.

What are the update rate set to? I use 2 seconds and have never encountered that issue?

Does it remain if you zoom in further?

I also discovered after I posted that the entire map is like flipped in EvoMetrix from the Map in the game.

I will get you some screen shots later tonight.

It is very strange, I'm a programmer and know what it's like to get a report of something that you go ... "He's Nuts!"

Keep watching this thread.

I need to check the coords for the items in EvoMetrics.

If they are wrong it explains it since that's a DB that I created by flying around picking up
coords everywhere. (Also reported by other pilots).

Does that happen everywhere or just at this location?

I've noticed a few areas where the EvoMetrics map and the Nav map disagree about things like asteroids, but all maps have some errors in them :P:P

I just use the EvoMetrics map to hunt for where something is and then find it on the NavMAp - if it's a bit different it doen't really affect things. My main use is with "tracker" on so I know where I am. In fact given how the data was collected, it's amazing it's as accurate as it is - there are very few difference that I've spotted :) I couldn't be without it

Congratulations to the pilots who volunteered their discoveries and to SeeJay who collated it all and to MapMan who coded it - thank you very much :)
