Got Onyx up to 100% tonight.

Also promoted Nubarus to JO and attached "The Hardway" medal to his wide cheast.
Great work and congratulations. Website is updated as well.

Keep an eye out for the PFL-Dudes. They seem to destroy our stations.
Destroy any PFL stations and members when sighted.

Have fun!:P

Pilot is OldnRusty

Just wanted to say Hello to my new clan mates....
also give props to Nubarus;

Not all, but a lot of players trying a new game will start off in single player / story mode etc... and at some point feel a need to try multiplayer. The switch can sometimes be awkward... and sometimes all it takes is one or two bad encounters on-line to turn someone away from on-line multiplay for good.

I think from the time I first logged on he/she? (Nubarus) Was all "hi how's it going?" "You need any help?" "Hey do you want some combat tips?" So of course when it comes to wanting to join a clan who else can one think of besides "Hey Nubarus what clan are you in? That's the one I want to join too"

Anyways just wanted to let the rest of you know a new players first impression of AS and the type of member that gives AS a good name.

-OldnRusty

errrm side note.... sorry I keep calling you he/she Nubarus... I guess that is something I really should have asked you at some point.... anyways thanks again for the combat training! k too intoxicated to play... going to work on a sig and avatar for forums. Laters all

That's ok OldnRusty, I am a he, 39 year old married guy with 2 kids.

And I know what you mean with online play, my first online game was Freespace 2 on PXO, there where good and bad moments there but overal it was ok enough to stick around.

The game where I met the most Aholes was with Guildwars, a fantasy MMO game with lot's and lot's of retarded arrogant people around.
A common thing that happend there was a new player asking for help for a mission or a quest that several players said: "WHAT? You cannot complete that on your own?? What a NOOB!!! Hahahahaha!!".

Apparently it's easy to forget that they where like that at some point too, I blame PvX Wiki for creating such meatheads though, they fail at something, go to PvX Wiki, download a skill build and they can complete it.

I called that the noob way to play, funny thing was it made them really mad when I said it, lol.
The fact I had already completed pretty much everything in the game made me laugh even harder when they called me a noob for not using PvX skill templates. :P

I for one never forget I was a noob too at some point and therefor I will never call anyone a noob for asking help in any form.

Ok so question for you guys....

I'm online right now, and checked the nav map.
AS is only at 18% in the Cerulean system.

I briefly asked about territory control last night when I was on but had to log off before it could be fully explained to me.

So what I did learn was that to increase AS control of a system I just have to go to it... do missions and build things?

I found an empty sector and built a trade station... then a few ways away I also built an energy station. I've been flying missions out of the station I built but AS control has not risen above 18%

I noticed the sector is packed with other player built stations...
a lot of them are from another clan. Should I go attack those other stations? If so... am I able to destroy a station with normal weapons or do I need to go find the torpedo that is specifically for destroying stations?

Just trying to be productive, any advise on how to best contribute would be appreciated.

Hey there, Warzone's cannot really be controlled by any clan, you can state your claim by building stations and this has been done already.

Talison Conflict is "ours" as in we have a bunch of Stations there.
Cerulean is under SW "control" but if other clans fly contracts there, wich is allowed btw the % will change.

Currently we fully control Olympus Prime, Atlas, Onyx and Sierra.
Flying contracts there will raise the % so if you want to be productive fly contracts there, Onyx and Sierra might be a bit tough on your own but Olympus and Atlas should be no problem.
You can also add stations to these systems if you like, I could use a little help with construction.

Great to see you're active NFW.

Send me an u2u when you have a change in your Rankings and I'll update our site.

There are also a lot of info there for you both regarding clan and evochron objects.
Also payment accounts are there so you can see what I owe you.
I will pay any AS pilot when I'm online if you need cash.

Keep up the great work AS pilots.

So when you say Cerulean is under SW "control" that means I can fly missions there or can fly a lot of missions there and take control for AS? also ... about the blowing up of SW stations?

When I have the cash I really wanna go buy one of those torpedoes and blow some poopoo up. :D or try to at least.

Was thinking of making Cerulean my home... was there tonight, and it was a good challenge... died a few times, completed about 75% to 80% of missions tried.

Really wanna try out one of those really expensive torpedoes though ;)

Still working on the combat tactics you showed me Nubarus... Nuburas... crap forgot your name .... sorry...

**edit** ok so seriously... you can't say shhh hit or it changes it to "poopoo" ? really? ... seriously?

Hey guys, because of the loss of my pilot profile I need start everything again! I don't believe in that.

It's my fault. I didn't create savedir before the upgrading and so... after the upgrade I coudn't find my pilot profile anymore...

I am still looking for a solution if somebody have one.

Eh, Warzones cannot really be controlled but that doesn't mean you can go blow up SW stations.

Cerulean Warzone is under SW "control" but anyone is allowed to fly contracts there, regardless of what clan they belong to.

Same for Talison Conflict, we "control" it but anyone can fly contracts there, the only thing that is to be respected is the stations, although in the past 1 SW member found it necessary to blow up our stations and replace em with SW stations.
We then blew up the SW stations and placed our stations back.
The only difference was that this one guy did this sneaky behind the back when no AS members where online.
We blew the stations and placed ours back right in front of several SW's.

This was also what I reffering too this afternoon but apparently it was rude to say it and whatever else lorelei was spuwing out, lol.

Oh well, I don't really care what she thinks after today's encounter, I am just here to enjoy the game.
As long as other clans respect our territories I have absolutely no problems, and even if not, it's still all in good fun.
The fact she took the "sneaky" and "technically our enemy" since by default all clans are marked red remarks as rude and making my clan AS look bad seems to me someone is taking things a liiiiiiiiitle too serious, but fine, no hair of my back. :D

So again, no blowing up SW (or any other clan for that matter) stations in SW territories (or other clan territories) Rusty, this also means no building AS stations in other clans territories.

As for seeing Cerulean as your home, you should look for a new home in either Olympus Prime, Onyx, Atlas or Sierra. ;)

That's odd, I did say I made a backup before I upgraded, the fact that nothing went wrong on my end doesn't mean it goes well for everyone.

But np m8, we will help you get back on your feet.

Yeah man. I just took "The installer also works as an updating program for older versions of the game" (from here: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7319) in a naïve way...:(

Roger! LOL ok so no blowing up SW stations and will not build anymore [AS] stations in Cerulean... may have built a couple before reading your reply.

I can blow up a station if it's in one of our areas though right? Really had my heart set on logging on today and blowing something up.

*edit* btw Nubarus, your not 'that' old. I'm .... 36 or 37 been a while since I told people my real age.... actually now I'm curious... will get a calculator... ok yeah so 37 next month... no kids that I know of, almost got married but came to my senses last minute and avoided that wreck.

anyways ... orders received... no blowing up SW stations

Feel free build stations in any war zone. Since they are the only place you can do mil missions the general consensus is they should be kept open for use by all regardless of clan affiliation. By the same token, leave stations built by other clans in war zones alone (unless at war with the clan). There is plenty of space to go around.

We have clan control of the Talison war zone and it will stay that way. Members of other clans are welcome to do missions there, but they shouldn't expect to take control away from us long term without one hell of a fight. Sierra is special because the main system and the war zone are in the same clan control area. The same rules apply to stations and running missions in the war zone as in all the others. But, stations in the main system won't have a long half life if they have another clan's tag and people from other clans running lots of missions there would be viewed as an act of aggression.

The other exception is for people doing quest missions, you can't control where those are so it is silly to drag territorial claims into it. The way clan control is split up at the moment it is impossible to complete the IMG quest with a clan tag without doing contracts in someone else's territory.

Had some fun last night with Nub and Demis bringing up systems.
Mikeuk joined to help out and he also ended up joining AS.

Welcome Mikeuk, great flying with ya last night.

Also did some money raising to your paychecks.
Ended up with some talking to a new dude, Nestan.
Great fun sneaking up on his ship while mining and "knocking" on his airlock to spook him a bit.
Hope your mining took off mate!;)

Great work out there!
