I made this small modification for myself a little while ago, and have been using it for some time now. I like the changes I've made, and I thought that I would share it with everybody. I eventually want to make a cockpit modification, but I'm starting small to get a feel for the whole process.

I've made 3 small changes to the current HUD. The first is the compass. Right now the compass denotes every 45 degrees. I changed this design to one that I am more familiar with (one you would see in an airplane). Tick marks appear every 15 degrees, with every 30 degrees being labelled.

The second change is with the artificial horizon. Right now every 10 degrees is marked. I added tick marks every 1 degree with a slightly larger tick mark on every 5 degree.

Finally, I downsized the cursor to make reading of the pitch easier. Below is a picture so you can see the changes I made. The nostrut mod is not included in my mod, even though you see it in the picture.



I think the changes make flying to containers and such easier as it allows the pilot more precision.
