Question about Cruisers

Post by Jeremy »

Vice, when I see two Cruisers battling it out with their long-range beam weapons - I see explosion occasionally, but their shields don't decrease and they don't seem to die either.

Is that the way it is supposed to work?

You should see shield arrays drop (the direct array and the two arrays closest). The direct array usually drops all the way while the two nearest arrays usually lose about 50%. The beams also do a little hull damage (but this may not be obvious in the middle of a heavy battle). The shield inverter charges just drain all shields.

Since we're on the subject of cruisers...

I've been meaning to ask - What's the green box below the cruisers for?

Thanks,

Flying your ship into one reloads all missiles and recharges your shields. ;)

Repair & Resupply. You mean the green boxes like the ones used in training courses and positions for shield array modules, but below support cruisers, right?

In addition to support cruisers, there is also a reload/recharge center at the nav marker in cooperative multiplayer.

"If all else fails, read the directions". All else, did not fail, so I just stumbled along, confident that my skill and experience was superior to knowledge. Ergo, I did not feel it necessary to waste my time with mundane instructions.
Superior minds do not bother with instructions. We know everything!:P
