i got a impossible z-coordinate from a npc yesterday with the value of 190400.
here is the relevant flightlog entry:

the dimension of one sector cube reaches from -100,000 till +100,000 on each axis.
so a value of 190,400 would be outside.

It might be a wild goose chase, but try reducing the Z by a factor of 10x to 19,040. You might still find something.

I don't really think I gave a hint so much as the error may be a 'carry-over' from the scale adjustment(s) between Mercenary and Legacy.

What was reported to you by your crew member is a valid container entity, but the location values are not accurate for the sector coordinates as they are a subset value range indicating something on the planet. So while the information presented isn't valid for sector coordinates, there is a container there somewhere on the local planet.
