[EL Steam] Missing letters in some fonts *INFO*

Hello,

Just purchased EL on Steam, loving it so far but tutorial and menus are very difficult to read as they are missing the letter 'E' in most cases. I tri d to attach a scr nshot for clarification but for som r ason was unabl to. Hop fully th last f w s ntanc s h lp clarify my issu s.

Any thoughts?

Haven't heard of that one before. Are you using an English version of Windows? Installed any custom files?

Are my eyes going bad or is that first post missing the letter "e" in a number of places?

Update:

The first time I exited and restarted the program the issue reappeared so I didn't bother mentioning it in the first post.

The next time I reloaded the issue was gone.

The time after that only the letter "Y" was missing in text.

The time after that only the letter "I" was missing in text.

I am using an English version of Windows 10 (although I am in Canada, is there a Canadian English setting somewhere in Windows that conflicts perhaps?)

After researching the problem further, it turns out this is likely due to low memory. Someone else who had run into this only had about 650 MB of available physical memory on their system out of 4 GB installed, which is not really enough for this game. This is usually due to having a lot of other things running in the background that is using up the available memory. You can check the level available in the system summary screen in msinfo32. If you can get the available physical memory up to at least 1-1.2 GB, it should give the game the memory it needs.

Thanks for the effort on this. I just checked msinfo32 and this is what I show:

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Total Physical Memory 3.45 GB
Available Physical Memory 1.91 GB
Total Virtual Memory 6.77 GB
Available Virtual Memory 4.63 GB
Page File Space 3.32 GB

I loaded EL with 1.91 GB available memory and was missing the letter "I" in the text.

Then it's likely consecutive memory and/or insufficient video memory. Does your display device meet the minimum requirements? If you send me the msinfo report (zipped and e-mailed to the address at starwraith.com > contact), I may be able to offer some advice. Also, are you running any 3rd party software related to graphics or memory resources (ie AMD Gaming Evolved or Raptr)?

I apologize for wasting your time. It probably is the graphics card. I just realized it doesn't meet the minimums. Regardless, for your information I'm emailing you the msconfig zip.

Ok, thanks for the report. There is a possibility some detail settings could be changed in ways to allow it to work. There has been some success with a few 512 MB video cards with such options, there is also a legacy camera mode we could try, depending on the type of card.
