Any program switches?

Just curious if anyone perhaps knows of any programmable switches in the game, such to limit framerates w/o outside intervention or perhaps running the game in 16 bit color?
Have been playing around with 16bit, especially in 2007 Crysis and with older hardware it's actually a pretty decent ~10-20% boost in my fps performance. From what I read it seems EM doesn't play nice with 16 bit color yes?
Just bought the game, had a very good tech support experience, now it's totally my treat to myself to do some drunken spaceship exploring on a very pretty game that will actually run on DX9 decently
