People often say "steep learning curve" to indicate that something is difficult to learn.

Actually, it's the opposite. A steep learning curve means that you make rapid progress.

 So I guess the proper response to such a complaint should be, "Thank you. We aim to please ... both the uncoordinated and the impatient." ;)

To be fair you only make rapid progress on steep ground with crampons or very grippy boots ('sticky boots' or 'magic boots' in rock climbing parlance).

The main problem (probably) is modern yoof you expect everything to be easy (the attention span of a gnat - two second sound bites - three inch high, three word, single syllable headlines etc; just try turning the sound off and watching TV for a little while :D) but if something is easy to get into it's likely to be easy to finish and hence short lived.

Whichever way you look at it though, steep learning curve is a compliment and not a problem to be 'solved'. :)

It would be the opposite of a steep learning curve ... it would be shallow. Or gradual.

Hey, I'm just the messenger.

Anyway, I just say a game is hard, or easy, depending on the game.
