An updated version of EMUD_Ver4, now called EM2UD_20130102 is available here:
http://evochron2.junholt.se/

Check the Tools section. 1 version is for Excel and the other for Open Office.

Enjoy!;)

Thanks! Any chance you might also have a raw database dump of some kind, like a SQL dump?

Also, it seems that "M262 [A] (0)" (Unique ID 1040) has a GateDestID of "UQ1". I'm guessing that was meant to be a Quadrant value instead? The star "Q616" (Unique ID 1354) and an Asteroid Field (Unique ID 2067) have similar values in the Note field.

No problems. An SQL version is available now.

I'll look into those values and correct them if needed. Thanks, good Catch.

Thanks! I had also constructed a set of SQL statements based off of the Excel data, but having a direct dump is usually more reliable.

I think I spotted a few more oddities in the data last night, but I forget what they were. I'll have to go back over it.

I corrected those errors. It was as you said a Sector note and not a Note. Thanks.

I also added a few new systems and noticed a thing that needs to be checked.
New system M368 has a planet named M368.
That planet name (M368) is also in system B237.
If anyone flies by those systems, could you please verify/report an error to me please.

The coordinates are on my map. Don't want to publish them here since it might spoil it for others that
want to discover Everything on their own.

Thanks! I did find a few more oddities.

Unique IDs 206 (Star "O447"), 1024 (Uncharted Planet "K397 [E] (0)"), and 1674 (Wormhole "WH to Al's Quay") have no listed Quadrant or seemingly misplaced Quadrant value.

Unique ID 235 (Uncharted Planet "O447 [T] (2)") has a Quadrant-like value ("UQ2") listed in its Note field. Unique ID 436 (Uncharted Planet "X123 (1)") has a Quadrant-like value ("UQ2") listed in its Note field.

Also, I noticed that between EMUD_Ver4 and EM2UD_20130102 that the type "Uncharted Station" disappeared. Such labeled objects appear to have switched to just "Station". Was that intentional? Is there a criteria for something switching from its "Uncharted" version to its normal version ("Uncharted Station" to "Station")? Thanks again!

Thanks, I'll look into those as well.

The icon on the map for uncharted stations
didn't show due to a bug in the program so
I changed all to stations instead.

Google Chrome has also lately been flagging the downloadable files, specifically zip files or executables (EM Tool, Nav Computer, Travel Buddy, etc.).

Here is a summary of the ideas so far:

EvoMetrics suggestions:

- A filter so you could view either, some or all of the following.
-- The charted stuff visible in game.
-- Found, unknown systems
-- Your own private findings.

- A feature to select what DB to connect to. (Makes it possible to use for different games as long as the DB is build in the same way).

- Able to use your ipad, iphone, android that is hooked up to your computer.

- Change the zoom feature so you could zoom in anywhere, not only in quadrants.

- Display your current cargo/equipment load.

- Include the container finder so it plots the result on the map.

- Put the name of the current system (Useful for found new systems) and auto-save the coords for edit with the correct coords when we've discovered all the planets/stations/stars of the system.

- Enable the most-near target (for prevent surprise hostile attacks).

- Option to export/import the user-added objects into/from a single file. (Util for the clan's uncharted systems/send to SeeJay for update the online map.

- Add the feature "Add Way Point".

- A list with editable/removable way points.

- Different colors for 2-way gates, 1-way gates, wormholes.

- Possible to show my ships coordinates (both s and p)? They could be given either in the to coordinates box or in the Carrier Data section.

- Clic on an object and the shortest route is shown, both in coordinates and number of jumps.

- When you clic the selected object inside Evometrics, you could have its coordinates injected in the game's "plot a jump"

Report an issue

Before reporting an issue, you might want to try posting your question to the Chrome Help Forum, where other users and our Google Guides will be able to help you.

Need to report a technical issue or problem with Google Chrome? If so, follow these steps:

Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Tools.
Select Report an issue.
Add key details in the "Tell us what is happening" field, including steps to reproduce the issue that you're experiencing.
If you'd like to include additional information in your report, such as a URL, your email address and a screenshot, select the checkboxes next to the item that you'd like to submit.
Click the Send feedback button to submit the report.

We appreciate your help! In most cases we won't be able to send you an individualised response, but we'll investigate your report and use the information that you provide to improve Google Chrome.

I googled 'report problem to google' and then 'report problem to google chrome'

I've wondered about the 2-way gates and 1-way gates. Are these indicated somehow in the current database? I didn't notice anything when I went over the spreadsheets you provided.

Hi RytoEX - welcome to the game!

EDIT: I thought that all gates are paired (in that a gate links to another gate in a different system or elsewhere in the same system (as in Sapphire) but despite playing for a few years I find out that there are a few that are one way!!

Naturally occurring one way things are either 'wild' wormholes in the centre of (some) black holes or free floating 'wild' wormholes (looking like rippling blue balls). The natural 'wild' wormholes dump you in space elsewhere - though they do send you to the same destination each time. :D

EDIT: duh!! Several years of playing and I just find out that a few gates at least are one way :P :P

:)

In the DB all Gates, WH and BH has a destination set (Pointing to it's unique ID).

If a Gate, WH or BH doesn't have another one pointing to it, it's a one way ticket.

In future versions I'll try to make 2 way travels in one color and one way in another color.

If I remember correctly, there is a "Return Gate" in
Sapphire that brings you closer to center
of the system. No gate to go back.

Going back over the data now, I see the gates and wormholes that do not have a GateDestID. Is there a list of destination coordinates for one-way gates/wormholes?

I also see one "Uncharted Gate" (Unique ID 365). What makes a gate "Uncharted"?

All data is in the DB, so no specific list.
The website only needs to know what system a gate goes to to draw the line.
I created the DB to make it easy on myself.

Most of the coordinates can be figured out checking the DB since the return gate is in there as well.
WH/BH doesn't have a return Point so no coords for them. Sorry.

The first website was composed of images I created with all the stuff on. Just to much work!

Normally stuff is "Uncharted" if it's not in the systems displayed on your NavMap in ship.

Ah, I think I made a mistake in parsing the data. I had assumed that the "GateDestID" always pointed to a gate. I've fixed that and now I see all of origin/destination links, both two-way and one-way.

There still seem to be 11 Gates, Wormholes, or Black Holes that have no set destination. For now, I've assumed these are one-way until corrected, though I'm pretty sure some of them are just omissions, such as "Gate To Erato" (Unique ID 651) and "Gate To Sapphire" (Unique ID 671).

Also, the only "Uncharted Gate" that I see (Unique ID 365) appears to be a duplicate entry of Unique ID 364. They have the same coordinates, but 365 points to 364 as its parent, and 364 points to 2081 as its parent. I won't name the gate here since some might consider that a spoiler.

Good catch. UniqueID 365 is deleted. (Uncharted gates icon pops up as a star [bug] so ID=364 is added as a Gate).

Could you list the Unique ID's for those that do not have a destination and I'll look into them. They might be correct as they are but I need to check them.

The ID 651 points to the same system as the gate is in. No need for the map to have a destination since the line won't be visible anyway (To short).
The gate lines will only show when you are zoomed out so that both start and end locations are shown on the map.
