I've Divided "COMMAND" into "COMMAND" and "SHIPS" as 14 "ANNOUNCEMENTS" come from COMMAND, BATTLESHIPS, CRUISERS and TRANSPORTS.

They have Been CONVERTED INTO GAME FILES and Placed in the GAME FOLDER.

They Will Play in BOTH LOW AND MODERATE THREAT SITUATIONS.

I have Now Received ALL FILES NESSESSARY for this Project. I Shall Record "COMMERCE" Today and After EDITING, CUTTING and LABELLING Each File I Will Be Able to Place them In the GAME FOLDER.

I Should have a BETA FOLDER to Test By this Weekend.

If Nothing goes TOO WRONG I Should Be Able to Release this MOD for DOWNLOAD Early Next Week.

I now have ALL VOICE FILES from ALL "AUTHORITIES", etc Labeled and Placed into the GAME FOLDER.

Unfortunately I've run into a little "SNAG". I had assumed that the "music" Folder LOOPED in a SET TIME, say 30mins, this way SPACING OUT the ONE HUNDRED FILES IN EACH OF THE THREAT LEVELS (300 FILES). IT DOES NOT.

I Now have to add "BLANKS" to Certain FILES and FILE SLOTS in Order to Have BREAKS between "ANNOUNCEMENTS" etc.
If I Do not Place these "BREAKS" the "ANNOUNCENTS", etc would simply play ONE AFTER EACH OTHER CONTINUOUSLY with NO BREAKS. I Don't Like this at all.

So It will Take Me Some Time to Create the "BREAKS" Needed for this Project to be as I Envisioned.

I'm STILL Shooting for a RELEASE sometime Next Week.

Here is where I am now. I Have a COMPLETE and FUNCTIONAL COM CHATTER FOLDER with 300 Files, including 65 "BREAKS" divided into 3 THREAT LEVELS. This will be BETA 1.0.

The FOLDER still needs to Have "BREAKS" Added to Certain Files. I figure about 1 in 3 or 100 Files. These BREAKS will be added to the End of an "ANNOUNCEMENT", etc and Vary in Length from .5 SECS to 6.5 SECS. Once Completed this will be BETA 1.1.

I, and some others, will then Test this THOUROUGHLY. When I'm satisfied of it's QUALITY I WILL RELEASE IN NEXT WEEK at Some Point.

I will be Able to add the "BREAKS" NUMERICALLY by looking at the FILE STRINGS in each THREAT LEVEL and Dividing Them Accordingly After listening IN-GAME to BETA 1.0.

This is a MUCH MORE COMPLEX MOD than I Had Envisioned. :mad:. But it will soon be Ready for Use. lol.

LMAO. That's FOR SURE My Friend! lol. I HAVE Completed Placing BREAKS into files for THREAT LEVEL ONE AND TWO. They ALSO have Files that are "BREAKS" ( X secs of SILENCE, they VARY) I'm Working on THREAT LEVEL THREE.

Once Done and TESTED I'll RELEASE IT.

I Have COMPLETED THE "COM CHATTER IN SPACE MOD" In It's ENTIRETY! THREE-HUNDRED FILES and BREAKS. I Have Decided rather than just "ALERTS" in HIGH THREAT LEVEL I Have also Placed "ANNOUNCEMENTS" from "NAVAL COMMAND".

This is now a COMPLETE BETA 1.0.

I Will be Testing It Tonight in NORMAL GAMEPLAY and also JUST SITTING in EACH OF THE THREAT LEVELS. LOW, MED and HIGH. I'll need to use a SHIELD ARRAY for the Latter but Hopefully I Can Listen to the ENTIRE LOOP.

I'll be Sending this BETA to a Couple Other Pilots who Contributed to this PROJECT so They May Test it as Well.

After I Get Their FEEDBACK and Make Any CHANGES NESSESSARY We'll Again test a BETA 1.1 Of this MOD.

Once I'm Satisfied with it I WILL RELEASE IT HERE.

I've Done EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF.

Thanks to VICE'S TIRELESS TROUBLESHOOTING the MOD is Now FULLY FUNCTIONAL and in the BETA 1.0 TEST PHASE.

Just Some Basic Info of the "COM CHATTER IN SPACE" MOD I've Done.

There are 300 Sound Files in Total. 100 in EACH THREAT LEVEL. In EACH LEVEL there are NO FILES THAT REPEAT. There are 87 INDIVIDUAL SOUND FILE, some with BREAKS INCLUDED and 13 DEDICATED BREAKS.

The Same Files that are in LOW THREAT LEVEL are in MED THREAT LEVEL. I Really Saw No Reason for a Separate Set as MED THREAT LEVEL is Really Not Used that Much.

In HIGH THREAT LEVEL there are 100 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT Sound Files from the files in LOW and MED.

I Did this so the ANNOUNCEMENTS you Hear when, let's say in a WZ, are COMPLETLY TAILORED TO REDS. I Couldn't Make them VONARI SPECIFIC (THOUGH A COUPLE ARE) Because you would be in a HIGH THREAT LEVEL when Engaging MULTIPLE HOSTILES such as RED/GUILD.

You WILL HEAR REPEATS as the GAME uses a RANDOM PLAY GENERATOR, but Hopefully Not To Many.

I think I've got ALL CONTENT where I Want It. I Just Need to Test for VOLUME CONTINUITY. If All is Good Tonight I Will RELEASE IT TOMORROW.

SUNDALO, Thanks My Friend. I Did this MOD for the SAME REASON as You Have Stated. I Didn't Like the QUITE after you left a STATION as I DIDN'T LISTEN TO MUSIC EITHER. I'm Running BETA 1.2 Tonight. Had Some CONTENT ISSUES but I Think I Have Fixed Them Nicely. I Also Think I Have the VOLUME CONTINUITY Problem Licked.

Finding It HARD to Test the HI THREAT LEVEL ANNOUNCEMENTS As I Need to Be in RADAR RANGE of MULTIPLE REDS. So I Sit under a SHIELD ARRAY and WAIT UNTIL I'M DESTROYED. lol. But from What I've Heard they are EXACTLY like I Wanted them to Sound.

More THUBAN /CER WZ Tonight.
