I did some searching and can't find any instructions or file downloads to do the cube thing with nebulas. I'm sure I've missed it somehow but can somebody point me in the right direction?

I'm using the new high res nebulas by 8rennus. I've thought about trying groenelampcap's nebulas but I want to keep my mods as simple as possible and it looks like it may impair performance (but I could be wrong).

have a nice day

Thanks Marvin. I found it. I now have to get the courage to try it out (exe's scare me). I keep my EM fairly stock so any mods I add are carefully selected. I do use the basic nebula mod and only a couple of HUD mods (the maps and one strafe symbol); that's it. I've had issues with mods in the past which resulted in being programmed to use only stock stuff.

Have a nice day.

 I used the program awhile back to test a panoramic view of the Milky Way. No problem at all. IIRC, the program doesn't install anything ... a stand-alone program which converts one 360-degree screen into six sections. Just follow the instructions in the ReadMe.

From post: 153860, Topic: tid=10130, author=Marvin wrote::cool: The old method gave you an image in the front and in the back (referenced to facing 0 degrees on the compass). The cube is akin to surround sound.
. . . . but quieter, perhaps!

Bonjour, M. Grubert! Once you have downloaded or un-zipped the file, place these files in a folder marked - environment - inside of the main sw3dg/Evochron Mercenaries game folder. (the one with the games' .exe file, not the save-data/pilot profile folder). Hope this helps! :)

* You may wish to download the Mercenaries Customizing Kit, from the 'Downloads' page of the Mercenaries web-site. Contained therein, is some very useful information, and examples of 'what goes where' in the main game folder.:cool:

 Your directory tree should look something like this:
C:\\sw3dg\\EvochronMercenary\\environment\\
Inside the environment folder, place all your stars PNG files ... six (0 thru 5) for each nebula mod.
