Longest solar eclipse of this century

Post by Karmasaur »

India and Asia (and the pacific ocean) had the pleasure of the longest total solar eclipse, this century is going to see.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzkviDXvE8g&feature=fvhl

I saw on CNN, that some of the more superstitious Indians, were troubled by this great omen of doom. Pregnant women are advised to draw the blinds, stay in bed and hide under the covers, and do NOTHING. Else they will lose their unborn baby. Others were seeing it as a religeous wonder and went in droves to bathe in the Ganges and pray. Still others, just went to the beach with their friends, and stared at the sun.

You mean just Loch Ness, dont you? :D

BTW, Mount Fuji means Mount Mountain (Fuji = Mountain), and Torpenhow Hill is HillHill Hill (Tor = Hill, Pen = Hill)
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
