Landing green and red samples

Post by wolis »

Can anyone provide me some sample images for landgreen.jpg and landred.jpg?

Any reason why these are jpgs and not bmps like most of the other hud files?

OOPS.. just found them in the kit.. sorry.. as you were.

If your still reading I have another question.. do I have to quit EvochronLegends.exe completely or just restart at some point to see changes to images?

Oh.. another question.. Im going to try landgreen.mmp as landgreen.jpg made no difference.. is this standard practice?

UPDATE: ok.. neither landgreen.bmp or landred.bmp made any difference in the /hud/ folder.

Any suggestions how I can replace them?

Thanks.

For Legends, you need to use DDS images for the landing guides.

You don't have to exit the game entirely to view those image changes, just exit to the main menu, then relaunch.

Ah, thanks.

I have saved my images as dds (thanks to GIMP and a plugin) and now I have no landing paths (which is quite nice in a way).

I notice when saving dds files I have many options of compression and formats RBG etc..

Is there a specific set of options I should be choosing?

Thanks.

Go ahead and mimap them, then make sure you include an alpha channel. Do not apply any texture compression. That's generally a good configuration that works.

No landing guides... that sounds good. :)
