Hello,

A lot of these ideas have been around for years, same as the games.

Some developers are just sitting on them waiting for computers to catch up.

I remember rendering something for a friend because my PC would only take 2 days to do it, his would have taken 8 days. Now the same software creating the same render but on a modern machine it took 17 mins.

When you look at classic software that has always been around, the only real thing that changes after the programmers got the engines right is the look.

Best example is MS Flight Simulator, others any document creators. I played MS FS when it was basic white lines, I also word processors when you still had to put the control codes in yourself.

You even had to define your printer codes! What a pain. And to think, there were die-hard supporters who refused to upgrade to WordPerfect.
