Hi all. I played a good chunk of Evogron Legends and Evochron Mercenary when they were released, but real life pulled me away for a while.

I was reminiscing about EM the other day, so decided to see what was up, and found that it was now on Steam (and that I was able to convert my old, ancient code to a new, shiny Steam code!), so I reinstalled it and went out for a spin. Now I remember why I loved this game so much, and I'm trying to get a buddy into it now, and hope to have regular flight nights.

Here's to seeing you around.

 Hello Valander,

I'm slowly working up a checklist (short FAQ) on what to do via Steam and EM. Tell me plz: how did you go about converting EM over to Steam?

I emailed my original keys to Shawn via [removed], and he sent me a Steam code. ;)

I believe the deal is that you have to have bought the game key before it was available on Steam to get the transferred key, but not sure.

From there, just went into my Steam account, and clickied the Activate Product Key, put in the key, and voila!

Also... man, I have forgotten how to fly. I barely remember where I mapped any of my controls, lol.

Why would you want to convert to a Steam account? It seems to me like adding a middleman where you don't need one.

Mostly because I actually have two machines that I game on (not at the same time, tho), and I'm planning on getting another PC soon. Managing updates, keys, etc. is a little (and I do mean LITTLE) more work than just installing Steam on everything, which I'm gonna do anyway. Plus, I actually have a lot of friends on Steam and the community functions there are kinda helpful. And I hope to push some of those friends to grab EM (1 already has). :)

Speaking of Steam buddies... 3 of them just bought the game. Guess I'll have to start a clan soon, lol.
