[EM 2.848][Steam version]Can't start this game twice *INFO*

Hello, I bought EM on Steam.

I launched EM, played it for a while, and I exited. Then, if I want to play it again, I click its shortcut icon, but Steam says the game is already running, but of cause it stopped.

And even if I want exit Steam, it will say that it is exitting EM now, sure there is no EM in memory for Steam to stop now, so Steam can't exit.

All I can do is using Task Manager to kill Steam.

Is this a bug?

Not one I'm aware of nor has it been reported before from other Steam users (related to this game, I was able to find other reports of the same thing in other games, see below).

- Are you launching the game with any special parameters/settings?

- If you force close the game with Alt-F4, does the behavior change compared to exiting from the main menu?

- Does the behavior continue after a fresh boot of your system?

I found other instances of the same thing being reported in other games on the Steam forums (including their own TF2: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11487 ). Might be due to the Steam overlay not releasing the game status. Solution seems to be what you're doing for now, until they can resolve the issue with their system. Probably worth reporting to them directly through their support system: https://support.steampowered.com/

Thanks, when I turned on my PC the other day and played EM, this problem was gone. I could start EM, quit, then start again normally.

So I think this related to a fresh boot.
