[EM 2.728] Crash on multiplayer join (Windows 8) *FIXED in Windows 8.1*

When I try to join any of the public multiplayer servers the game crashes to desktop with no error message.

Windows 8 (not upgraded to 8.1 yet)
4gb Ram
GT 540m
128gb SSD
Core i5-2430m

Details on the memory issue in Windows 8 are in the threads Marvin posted above. In short, if you're on the original Windows 8, you'll need to use the Windows 7 compatibility mode. Otherwise, you'll need to update to Windows 8.1.

Thank you, I will give that a try. I wasn't sure if it might be the memory issue since single player works, but I'll update right away. Thanks again.
