Frontier: Elite 2

Post by StarHunter32000 »

Anyone ever play it? I downloaded it several years ago and died about a million times in the first system, partially due to not having a joystick, but I loved the concept and reading the manual. I really wish it would get a GOG rerelease, along with the original Elite.

I have Pioneer, and it is actually a pretty fun game for what it is. It's like a much more raw version of the Evochron games. Full Newtonian physics can make navigating accurately a bit tricky, but worth taking the time to understand. If you do download the game, I recommend also applying the Scout Plus patch/mod. Adds a lot more dimension as well as graphic and content quality.

Sweet. I'll definitely be checking out Pioneer. And my complete boxed copy of Elite 2 came in the mail today :D Also, I found out that Frontier released it as shareware some years back, so it can still be played with DosBox.
