Multiplayer timed modes, test build...

Post by Vice »

I have prepared a test build of the game with the new timed multiplayer modes. It also includes improved text image quality. Please note these important installation steps:

- Uninstall the current version before installing this update. This is not required, but just recommended to remove the old game files and recover about 41 MB of hard drive space. Keep the original installation file in case you want to go back to the older version.
- The game files are now installed in the \\sw3dg\\arvochconflict folder. This will be the standard installation location to better accomodate Windows Vista limitations. If you have any custom ships, simply move them to this new folder location.
- Only test this version (1.488) with other players using the same version. It is not compatible with older versions of the game.

Thanks.

I hope so to. :) I tested it a lot on my local network, but it's best to make sure such major changes work correctly.

I'll update later on this week. Afraid school and other projects have been taking so much time I've not gotten around to posting here a lot. It's a shame, really, but I hope to be back in action within a month. Can't let Jeremy pass me with total number of posts. Can't!
