Combat Wingmen Tournament...
As discussed a few days ago, I'd like to arrange a Team-vs-Team tournament soon. This would involve multiple groups of 2 players each in an open
dogfight. Each player needs to select one other player for their 'wingmen' (can be a clan member or not), then each team would be up against all
other teams that show up. The battle would be sharded as needed in case more players show up that can be supported by the server in any one sector
(scoring will be based on each battle and rewards paid accordingly, so each battlefield is open for maximum reward) and also based on rank/ship
configuration. Scoring would be based on the total number of PvP kills achieved by each pair. The winning team in each battlefield
receives 1-billion in-game credits each. Second place receives 250-million in-game credits each (Vice pays the winners). Some freebies would also be
given away just for participation (free game keys).
Any players who would like to join in, please post a reply here and state your in-game callsign and the callsign of your wingman (along with any
other comments you have regarding locations, rules, etc). This tournament would be open to players of all experience and ability levels. Teams
should select a matching team tag for their callsigns, if they are not already members of the same clan or if two or more teams are of the same
clan.
These are the current rules:
- No Fulcrum Torpedoes.
- No cloaking devices.
- No Proximity Mines.
- No jump drives.
- Any destroy message gives the other team a point.
- Voluntarily disconnecting from the match results in forfeit.
If players are interested in a guns only tournament, one or more battles could take place in the high radiation nebulae near Sapphire. Otherwise,
battles will likely be arranged in 'friendly' systems near stations.
Remember to practice with your wingmen and learn to work together as a team.
My callsign would be [SW]Vice and I'd like a member of the SW clan for a wingman who I've practiced with for a while, Eclipse, Brave, Gorf,
etc.

[FL] or [SD] is fine what ever Solarwing prefers!
Also, if Ben cannot or does not wan't to I'll take SVB as a backup! I might not be abble to partake depending on the date since I will be away a
couple of weeks in June! So Solarwing might need a Backup himself if he decides to partake!

Have a quick question for you vice any restrictions on the type of missiles used. I do have a preference but would like to know what you think.

First post states that torpedoes are not allowed (proximity mines should also be added as well, in my
opinion), other then that you are free to use what you want.

Not trying to be dense was looking to level the playing field. But as I keep thinking about it without stealth and jump drives it wouldnt matter what
missiles one selects for this tourny. Once out of all u have is cannons speed and skill to avoid being space dust. With the exception of U Ecl u seem
to be from Krypton who's impossible to destroy or damage or cripple.
I can't wait till we get to play.

Not impossible, it's just a tough job. Shewts got me the other day with a good sneak attack.

Also a question about rules, what about profile swapping!, where is tournament taking place, and what about refueling and reloading and repairing
ships and swapping at stations?

As for refueling, reloading, and repairs; those will likely be "at your
own risk" activities. Expect to be attacked while doing those activities.
Profile swapping will leave your wingman alone and open for attacks during your disconnects and rejoining, your team will suffer more losses if you
choose to do this.
